In a recent discussion, EP Sana Amanat spoke about the emotional conclusion in the first episode of Daredevil: Born Again and offered a hopeful outlook concerning Foggy’s future in the series. “He won’t be gone for good,” Amanat shared with GamesRadar. Showrunner David Scardapane echoed Amanat’s sentiments, hinting that Foggy may reappear on the show. Furthermore, Scardapane acknowledged that they were distressed by the scene, stating “He won’t be gone forever. That’s all I can say – it’s not the last you’ll see of him.” “So, I understand your emotions,” Scardapane continued. “We also feel the heartbreak, and we didn’t make this decision lightly. Believe me, I get upset too. We were upset on the day, and we were upset watching it. All of these feelings are valid.

Scardapane mentioned that Foggy’s demise was predestined before he became part of the project, but in the initial storyline, his death was not depicted on screen. He believed it was crucial to include this scene because it would be “powerful, distressing, and life-altering,” providing a strong emotional impact for viewers.
