Recently, several well-known and long-time members have left FaZe Clan, a popular esports and streaming organization. The rise of live streaming has led to many groups forming to bring together top gaming personalities. Organizations like OfflineTV, OTK, and 100 Thieves have hosted popular YouTubers and Twitch streamers, some of whom have also competed in esports. While many such groups exist, FaZe Clan has become one of the most recognizable and influential names in gaming.
I first discovered FaZe Clan way back in 2010 on YouTube – they were all about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 at the time. They blew up in the Call of Duty community super fast, not just because they were amazing players, but because they were genuinely fun to watch. They quickly became one of the biggest streaming groups around, and then they started building pro esports teams for games like Call of Duty and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. But now, it’s pretty shocking to see FaZe Clan suddenly saying goodbye to some of their most popular streamers.
Several Streamers Announce Departure from FaZe Clan
Several popular creators have announced they are leaving FaZe Clan. Over the Christmas period, personalities like Lacy, StableRonaldo, YourRage, and others revealed their departure. Adapt, a long-time member who joined in 2011, is among those leaving. Many cited disagreements with the organization’s leadership as the reason, with PlaqueBoyMax specifically criticizing former CEO Banks.
The recent wave of departures from FaZe Clan surprised both fans and even some of its members. PlaqueBoyMax alleged that Banks didn’t give creators enough control over their content, prompting a denial from Banks. Many remaining members, including ZooMaa and Rug, expressed confusion and disappointment about the changes. Popular creator Valkyrae later hinted that some former FaZe members might be starting a new group, but this hasn’t been officially confirmed.

Recent turmoil at FaZe Clan has raised concerns about the organization’s long-term stability. Several creators who left the group have hinted at problems with how FaZe handles ownership and control of content. These departures represent a significant loss, as the leaving streamers made up almost half of FaZe’s active creator roster, leaving only eight members. Streamer Adin Ross also speculated that financial issues may have contributed to the exits, claiming that FaZe’s parent company, GameSquare, asked for a 20% cut of the streamers’ income.

Earlier this year, popular streamer Nickmercs announced he was leaving the organization. Also, Banks resigned as CEO following issues with a cryptocurrency investment. These departures have created uncertainty about the future of FaZe Clan’s streaming team.
