Highguard Adds 5v5 Raid, Playable Now

Highguard has added a new gameplay mode, now available to play.

Highguard has introduced a new 5v5 Raid Mode that’s available for a limited time – just this weekend! This is an experimental mode and will run as a separate playlist, so it won’t affect the existing 3v3 raids.

We’ve updated lobbies so you can now play with parties of up to 5 people on weekends. We’ve also made Raids more challenging and strategic: players now have 10 lives instead of 6, and it takes a bit longer to respawn, giving teams time to set up or disable generators.

Highguard now features a new base called Soul Well. This dark and ancient relic has been added to all game modes alongside the new game mode, giving players another location to battle in.

Quality-Of-Life Improvements Are Also Coming to Highguard in This Patch

We’ve also made a number of improvements to make the game run smoother and be more enjoyable. These optimizations enhance things like animations, how projectiles move, and other in-game systems on both consoles and PC. We’re also adding options like a toggle for motion blur.

Players in 3v3 game modes should experience some positive changes, but the developers request patience as they test the new mode. Also, the Firing Range is currently limited to 5v5 matches.

You can find out more about the game – which had a rough start and received mostly negative reviews on Steam – by looking at its detailed plan for 2026.

Tried out Highguard yet? We’d love to hear what you think of the new game mode! Share your thoughts on our official Discord server. And be sure to subscribe to our weekly newsletter for updates!
