The developers of Highguard have announced they’ll be showing off gameplay footage on the game’s release day.
Players were excited when Highguard, a new free-to-play shooter from the creators of Apex Legends and Titanfall, was revealed at The Game Awards 2025. Since then, there’s been very little news about the game. It looks like we’re finally getting some updates, but they might come very close to the game’s release date.
Highguard Gameplay Showcase Arrives on Launch Day
Highguard’s official X (formerly Twitter) account has been updated for the first time since December 2025! They announced a special Launch Showcase happening on January 26, 2026, at 10 AM Pacific Time. The showcase will give players a detailed look at the game, including plans for its first year and a close examination of the gameplay. Many fans are now guessing that the game might be released immediately after the showcase.

Highguard hasn’t done much marketing for their new free-to-play raid shooter, leaving players in the dark about its release. Surprisingly, the game’s trophy list recently appeared online, giving us the most details we have so far about the game’s features, characters, items, and how it will play.
There’s been some talk that Wildlight Entertainment, the developers of Highguard, didn’t actually pay to be featured at The Game Awards.
