Initially slated for a May release, the Role Playing Game (RPG) exclusively for the PlayStation 5 from Chinese studio Ultizero Games, named “Lost Soul Aside”, has now officially been postponed.
The delay is for a few months, as Lost Soul Aside’s new release date is August 29, 2025.
Lost Soul Aside Needs More Time For Polish
As a gamer, I’m thrilled to share that the studio took to Twitter to announce some exciting news about Lost Soul Aside! Game director Yang Bing expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelmingly positive feedback received globally since the game was first unveiled. He also revealed that we’re dedicating extra time to refine the game, ensuring we deliver a top-notch gaming experience that lives up to the high standards set by Ultizero Games.
I prefer if the release date were moved back a few months for better quality assurance, rather than launching with bugs and then fixing them later. While live service games may survive a rough start, these issues are more detrimental to single-player experiences as they are what you experience initially, and players often lose interest after learning about the game’s bugs.
The game titled “Lost Soul Aside” is an action-adventure RPG that Sony Interactive Entertainment plans to release on both PS5 and PC. According to its official description, players will embark on a grand journey to rescue their younger sister, and ultimately save all of humanity, from enigmatic invaders originating from dimensions beyond the starry heavens.
As a passionate gamer, I’m thrilled about the upcoming lineup Sony has in store for us from August to October! Lost Soul Aside, our highly anticipated PlayStation exclusive, will grace our screens in August. In September, Marathon, a game that promises excitement across all platforms, will be unveiled. Finally, Ghost of Yotei is set to join the scene in October. If everything goes as planned and there are no delays, we’re looking at an AAA title every month for three straight months!
Although the gameplay may give that impression, keep in mind that Lost Soul Aside is not similar to “souls-like” games, so adjust your expectations accordingly.
