Hitman World of Assassination PS VR2 Launch Delayed to March 2025

As a long-time Hitman fan who has spent countless hours perfecting assassinations across various locations and platforms, I must admit that I was initially disappointed by the delay of Hitman: World of Assassination for PS VR2. However, after reading about the improvements, new features, and enhanced immersion promised with this version, I’m now more excited than ever to don my suit once again!

IO Interactive’s recent update reveals that the release date for Hitman World of Assassination on PlayStation VR2 has been pushed back to March 27th, 2025.

Hitman: World of Assassination, originally slated for release on PlayStation VR2 in December 2024, has been postponed due to the need for extra development time to refine and perfect every aspect of the game, making it more immersive and smooth. The delay will also enable the inclusion of new features specifically designed for the PS VR2 version, such as active reloading.

Hitman WOA’s Entire Campaign is Playable on PS VR2

World of Assassination campaign. This encompasses free roaming through approximately 20 distinctive settings like Dubai, Paris, Miami, and others. Additionally, they will be able to utilize a variety of more than 100 items and weapons during their missions, which adds complexity to the strategies they employ for each assignment.

Hitman WOA PS VR2 Features

For the much-anticipated PS VR2 version of Hitman: World of Assassination, the most sought-after features are the ability to wield two weapons at once and full functionality for both hands (ambidexterity). Developers have announced that these features will be accessible right from the game’s launch. Furthermore, players can juggle multiple tasks, like keeping watch over a guard while holding a weapon or grabbing crucial items all at the same time.

In the latest update, players can now manually swap ammunition in their weapons for a more immersive gear management experience. This new active reloading feature requires players to eject old ammo, grab a fresh magazine, and insert it back into their weapon. The PlayStation VR2 edition of the game introduces an innovative approach to gameplay, where instead of pressing buttons to initiate actions, players must perform realistic actions to complete tasks.

Developers are adopting a “physics-oriented method” for disguise in the game, allowing players to choose outfits based on position, manipulation, and motion. This greatly improves the game’s immersion and realistic feel during play.
