Following the game’s appearance during the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, some players expressed concern that it would be exclusive to the new console. However, Griffin’s latest tweet confirms that Hollow Knight: Silksong will be released on both the existing Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.

Instead of an expansion, it narrates Hornet’s adventure through an expansive, alien world. As the princess-protector of Hallownest, she explores diverse landscapes such as gilded cities, fiery lakes, and shrouded moors. The game maintains a traditional, handcrafted 2D visual aesthetic that captures the beauty of these distinctive settings.
Concerning battles, players can expect to encounter 150 brand-new adversaries, including creatures, hunters, assassins, rulers, monstrosities, and knights.
