Hollow Knight Silksong Patch 4 Adding Community Requested Feature

The public beta for Hollow Knight Silksong Patch 4 is now available, featuring significant changes and improvements. This update includes enhancements to the multibinder and a much-improved Simplified Chinese translation. After a long wait, Hollow Knight Silksong is receiving excellent reviews from both critics and players, suggesting Team Cherry’s efforts have paid off.

Many players have talked about the challenging parts in *Hollow Knight Silksong*. Some are finding it hard to adjust to how Hornet moves differently from the Knight, and others believe the game is unforgiving due to a larger hit detection area. Despite these concerns, the game’s difficulty hasn’t changed since it was first released, encouraging players to learn from their failures and keep trying.

As a big fan of *Hollow Knight*, I’m always impressed by how Team Cherry listens to the community. We all know the game is supposed to be challenging, but they’re still willing to tweak things when needed. The latest Patch 4 isn’t changing any of the boss fights right now, but they *are* making improvements to controller support – things like rumble are getting better, and more controller types will work. They’re also updating the Simplified Chinese translation, though they’re warning us it’s still a work in progress and there might be some visual glitches for now.

Patch 4 includes bug fixes and a significant improvement to the Multibinder tool in *Hollow Knight Silksong*. Team Cherry made this change based on player feedback. The Multibinder is a powerful tool unlocked after purchase, offering a health boost in exchange for a slower, fixed animation. This update allows the Multibinder to quickly eliminate maggots and resolves an issue that caused it to take too long to activate when used with the Shaman crest.

Team Cherry states that this update is still being developed, and more fixes are planned before it’s officially released. Given that *Hollow Knight Silksong* also recently received an update, this patch will likely stay in testing for some time as the team continues to improve it.

Hollow Knight Silksong Patch 4 (Public Beta) Notes

We’ve released an updated Simplified Chinese translation for public testing, using a new script. Please note that this is a first draft and will be improved with feedback from players.

– Various localisation fixes implemented across all languages.

We’ve upgraded to Unity’s new Input System to provide better support for game controllers. This means you should have more controllers working, including rumble features! While we’ve made significant improvements, some issues might still exist. You can find a complete list of compatible controllers and features here: https://docs.unity3d.com/Packages/com.unity.inputsystem@1.14/manual/SupportedDevices.html

– Fixed Styx not giving rosaries when delivering the Queen’s Egg.

– Fixed Druid’s Eyes sometimes not equipping correctly when first acquired.

– Fixed some down attack colliders getting stuck on in rare instances.

We fixed an issue where Hornet would sometimes unexpectedly revert to her normal form, such as while traveling through Bellway.

We’ve resolved a bug where players could unexpectedly enter the plasmified state after defeating a Winged Lifeseed. Previously, this was happening instead of the intended effect of using a Plasmium Phial.

– Reduced unintentionally long bind time when using Multibinder with the Shaman crest.

– Updated Multibinder’s initial bind to clear maggots, per community comments.

– Various smaller tweaks and fixes.
