Hollow Knight: Silksong Release Has Delayed Another Game

It seems that the developers of CloverPit have decided to postpone their game’s release due to the upcoming launch of Hollow Knight: Silksong, a much-anticipated sequel to the 2017 hit by Team Cherry. After years of excited chatter among fans, Team Cherry has finally announced a release date for Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Because Team Cherry’s highly anticipated game, Hollow Knight: Silksong, is due to be released on September 4, other developers are postponing the launch of their games to avoid competing with it. This includes Talegames, who delayed the release of Faeland, an RPG inspired by classic 8-bit games, to give their project the focus and care it needs. Initially scheduled to launch a few days after Silksong, Faeland’s developers decided to reschedule its release date to ensure it gets the proper attention. Hollow Knight: Silksong is one of the most anticipated games of 2025, and now another title has had its release delayed due to the excitement surrounding Hornet’s upcoming adventure.

CloverPit

Description: CloverPit is reminiscent of indie games like the popular Balatro and Buckshot Roulette, immersing players in a nightmarish scenario they themselves have orchestrated. Trapped within the confines of a decaying cell, they’re left with just an ATM and a slot machine as their only means of escape. Accumulating debt and facing dire consequences if unpaid, the players must skillfully control the machine to garner additional coins, employ over 150 items and strategic synergies to craft combos, and continuously pay off their captors in hopes of eventually securing their freedom.

Anticipation builds as CloverPit’s release is delayed, with players eagerly looking forward to Hollow Knight: Silksong and the upcoming adventure starring Hornet instead. In this new journey, Hornet finds herself captured and transported to a foreign kingdom, where she encounters over 200 formidable foes using innovative weapons, traps, and lethal combos for assistance. The game also introduces a fresh group of NPCs and stunningly beautiful 2D landscapes. Moreover, the soundtrack will be crafted by Christopher Larkin, the highly respected musician who contributed to the original Hollow Knight score.
