Team Cherry has released an update for *Hollow Knight: Silksong* that fixes bugs and makes controllers work even better. This improves the game for fans.
Released on September 4th, *Silksong* was one of the most anticipated games of 2025. The new game from Team Cherry received almost perfect reviews and quickly became a major success after it launched. The developers report that over 5 million people have played the game, with more than 3 million copies sold on Steam and millions more enjoying it through platforms like Xbox Game Pass.
The latest update for *Hollow Knight: Silksong* (Version 1.0.28891) now works with the Dualsense Edge controller on PlayStation and a variety of controllers on Mac. Like the previous update, this one is relatively small in size and doesn’t add any major new features. Instead, it focuses on fixing bugs and making some adjustments to gameplay balance. For example, the damage from Rune Rage has been adjusted to be consistent with other abilities, areas where players could glitch outside the game boundaries have been fixed, and the damage of Sharp Dart and Cross Stitch has been slightly increased. A particularly helpful fix resolves a problem that could occur during the opening sequence if players had previously visited the Citadel but hadn’t activated all the Bellshrines.

The latest update to *Silksong* now pauses the game when a controller disconnects, which should help prevent accidental deaths. The patch notes also mention several other minor improvements and bug fixes. While Team Cherry sometimes adds hidden changes, players shouldn’t expect any major surprises this time around.

While Team Cherry will likely add more content to *Silksong* eventually, it could be a long wait given the team’s size and the game’s development time. To keep things interesting, *Silksong* players on PC can use mods to change up their gameplay. A new mod called Crest Master recently launched, offering a significantly harder experience. It adds a crest that removes Hornet’s defenses, making it a great option for experienced players looking for a new challenge.
