Hollow Knight: Silksong Reveals Patch Notes for Second Update

A new update is coming soon for Hollow Knight: Silksong. The development team, Team Cherry, has shared details about the changes. While the game has been well-received since its release after years in development, the team continues to improve it. The update, version 1.0.28626, is currently available as a public beta and will be released to everyone shortly.

It’s no surprise that *Hollow Knight: Silksong* is proving incredibly popular. Since its release in early September, over 5 million people have started playing on all platforms, with half a million joining on Steam within just a few hours. The game’s player base is still growing, and developers plan to release updates and improvements to make the experience even better for both new and returning players.

Team Cherry released a new patch on September 16th, and players who participated in the beta can try it out immediately. While they haven’t announced an exact release date for everyone else, the developers say they’re almost finished, so the wait shouldn’t be long. The first update for *Silksong* made the game a bit easier by adjusting the difficulty of a couple of early bosses. This second update focuses on fixing bugs that were unintentionally making the game harder, including issues with enemies appearing outside of the playable area, some cocoons being inaccessible, and incorrect damage calculations for the Volt Filament.

The next update will also explain the ‘Herald’s Wish’ achievement more clearly, so players know exactly what they need to do to unlock it. Although completing all wishes in *Silksong* isn’t required to finish the game, many players will want to collect them all, and the improved description will help. The update mainly includes small bug fixes and improvements, with some affecting how the game plays and others changing how it looks.

Players who found *Silksong* more challenging than *Hollow Knight* won’t be happy to hear that the developers aren’t planning to make the game easier at this time. However, those who enjoy a tough game will likely be pleased. Despite the difficulty, *Silksong* has already proven to be a hit, and future updates will continue to improve the experience. Team Cherry notes that the final update might differ slightly from the current beta, but players shouldn’t have to wait long to see the changes.
