Wow, this weekend wasn’t just amazing for League of Legends fans! Honor of Kings had its biggest event, the King Pro League, and the grand final was absolutely incredible. Seriously, it broke records! In China, over 62,000 esports fans packed into the National Stadium to watch – that’s almost 20,000 more people than the previous record set back in 2016! It was a historic event, and I’m so glad I got to hear about it.

Previously, a PES 2016 UEFA Euro event in Paris attracted around 45,000 viewers, setting a record. However, Honor of Kings has now broken that record, and indications suggested it would before the event even began.

The King Pro League Smashes Records

Honor of Kings has officially broken the world record for the biggest live esports crowd ever. At the recent King Pro League championship in China, over 61,000 fans gathered to watch, clearly demonstrating the growing popularity and impact of mobile esports.

This triumph is important for a few reasons.
