This article contains spoilers from My Hero Academia Chapter 430.
Over the past month, the final chapter of “My Hero Academia” unfolded, providing a satisfying conclusion to the tale. Fans rejoiced as Deku’s journey, along with those of other heroes, reached its climax. While some characters found contentment in their conclusions, others saw their stories left somewhat unresolved. Despite fans hoping for a more extensive epilogue, they were ultimately pleased with what was offered. Although it wasn’t flawless, the conclusion still managed to pack quite a punch with numerous thrilling events.
Intriguingly, what spectators were eagerly anticipating after the war’s end was a revelation about the updated Hero rankings within the world of “My Hero Academia.” More specifically, fans were curious to learn how the revamped Hero system appeared and who emerged as the top hero at story’s conclusion. Now, their curiosity has been satisfied in the final chapter of the series.
The Retirement Of Endeavor And The Change Of the System
- Endeavor Was Crippled
- Hawks Lost His Quirk
The story of My Hero Academia commenced with All Might standing as the supreme hero. This isn’t news to any devoted fan, as it’s well-known that the Symbol of Peace held his ground for countless years. Crime rates plummeted when he was at the helm, and there simply wasn’t anyone else who could challenge his might. The only one who could match him in combat was All For One, and All Might made every effort to subdue him effectively during their battles. However, eventually, All Might had to pass on his power to another, marking Deku’s arrival. After the quirk transfer, he was left with mere remnants of the One For All, which ultimately faded during his fight against All For One. This left him quirkless and unable to maintain his position as the Number One Hero. It was then that Endeavor assumed the role of the strongest.
Achieving the position of Top Hero was significant for his personal growth, as it underscored the true essence of heroism and offered opportunities for introspection, ultimately shaping him into a more compassionate individual. Concurrently, Endeavor excelled at his role by safeguarding numerous citizens and combating various perils. During the Final War, he displayed remarkable prowess against adversaries like All For One, securing a place in history. Yet, it was evident to fans that Endeavor would not maintain his position as Top Hero indefinitely. The wounds sustained during the Final War were severe, leaving him incapable of further heroics and ultimately necessitating retirement. As time went on, he became crippled and unable to walk, a potential price for past actions he may have pondered over.
As the legendary hero retired, I sensed a shift in the rankings was imminent. That’s when Hawks proposed an innovative new Hero system. This system would allow everyday citizens a chance to make a mark as heroes too, given their valiant efforts during the Final War in preserving peace and defeating the League of Villains. Unfortunately, we, the fans, haven’t been given much insight into how this system works yet. It’s not like we see ordinary civilians becoming household names on the hero charts regularly. However, I have a feeling that if there’s a sequel story, we might get more details about it then.
The New Number One Hero After The War – Mirio Togata
Lemillion Acquired The Top Spot And Left Others In The Dust
Following Endeavor’s retirement, there was uncertainty among fans as to who would take on the role of the new Number One Hero. The hierarchy of Heroes underwent significant changes. For instance, Endeavor left the agency, Hawks ceased being a Hero and moved into a different role, Jeanist and Edgeshot were also displaced, and Mirko was severely injured, though she still appears to be active as a Hero. In the last chapter of My Hero Academia, fans got a glimpse of society eight years later, but there wasn’t immediate clarity on the new Hero rankings after the water. However, the final chapter offers a look at society eight years down the line.
As long as that girl can smile…I can’t let this go! – Mirio Togata
Over time, both the globe and the Hero rankings in Japan have undergone significant transformations, with Mirio Togata, famously known as Lemillion, now standing at the pinnacle. His dominance as number one is undeniable and quite logical given his early introduction in the story. It was already hinted back when he was a student that he was remarkably close to All Might among all Pro Heroes.
It’s quite evident that during his university days, he was widely recognized, hinting at a great potential to excel. Eight years post-war, it seems he attained an impressive level of strength, becoming the strongest of his time.
It’s well-known that Togata-senpai rapidly rose to fame, outshining both Kamui Woods and Mt Lady in the process.
In the world of My Hero Academia, where the Heroes are exceptionally skilled due to their tough selection process and stability, it’s been established in the latest chapter that Mirio has managed to stand out as the top Hero. This makes his achievement even more impressive given the challenging era he’s thriving in.
The Hero Rankings Of Bakugo And Shoto
Bakugo and Shoto Are Neck and Neck
In the story eight years later, both Bakugo and Shoto were included in the Hero rankings. It seemed that Bakugo was either leading or at the same level as Shoto, however due to Bakugo’s rebellious character, it was predicted that Shoto would overtake him in the rankings eventually. The implication was that Kamui Woods and Mount Lady were above both of them, which was unexpected. Fans aren’t aware of the specific structure of the Hero rankings, but as things currently stand, these heroes are strong contenders for a spot among the top five.
Absolutely, as time goes on, the champion standings are bound to get even more thrilling, but for the moment, it’s Mirio who holds the throne at the pinnacle.
