Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered coming to PS5 and PC next month

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent traversing virtual worlds, I must say that the revelation of Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is like finding a long-lost friend who’s returned home looking better than ever! The prospect of revisiting Aloy’s adventure with enhanced visuals and improved gameplay is truly tantalizing.

Last night during the State of Play event, Guerrilla Games announced that Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is set to launch on October 31 for both PS5 and PC. This updated version will feature numerous technological advancements, visual upgrades, enhanced features, and even The Frozen Wilds expansion, which was previously available as separate DLC.

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share some exciting details about Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered! Straight from the horse’s mouth, or rather Jan-Bart van Beek, Studio Director and Studio Art & Animation Director at Guerilla, we get an inside peek. The remastered version will boast over 10 hours of re-recorded dialogues, motion capture, and a myriad of graphical enhancements that align it visually with the highly praised sequel, Horizon Forbidden West. The game’s breathtaking world teems with frozen mountains, dense jungles, and arid deserts, now boasting stunning new visuals and 4K graphics. Navigating between settlements has never been faster!

The DualSense controller significantly enhances the remastered version, offering an impressive upgrade over the original. It does this through the use of advanced haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. Moreover, Guerilla has incorporated a handy accessibility feature that employs both the haptic feedback and audio cues to identify interactive objects.

In addition, we’re thrilled to announce that Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered will be compatible with the PlayStation 5 Pro. This means you’ll get to enjoy enhanced graphical elements, optimized for the PS5 Pro’s power, and stunning visuals at incredibly fast frame rates.

As a gaming enthusiast, mark your calendars! Starting October 3, you’ll have the chance to pre-order both physical and digital versions of the game. If you’re one of those who already own the original Horizon Zero Dawn or the Complete Edition, get ready for an exciting update: The Remastered version will only cost $9.99 on PS5 and PC!

There’s tons more information on the blog, but for now, check out the trailer and get excited:
