Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered has Been Rated for PS5 and PC

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the news of Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered for both PlayStation 5 and PC has me more than just a little excited! Back in 2017 when the original game was released, I missed out due to some unavoidable circumstances. But now, with this remastered version on the horizon, I’ll finally get to explore Aloy’s post-apocalyptic world filled with robotics and action!

Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered has been rated by the ESRB for the PlayStation 5 and PC.

After the unveiling of the PlayStation 5 Pro, there are whispers that Sony might hold a State of Play event before the end of this month, followed by a rating assessment.

In this game, players take on the character of Aloy, a survivor navigating a post-apocalyptic world. Players help guide Aloy as she learns to hunt robotic creatures and animals in the wilderness. She uses weapons like arrows, spears, and explosive traps to injure or kill machines, boars, and occasional human opponents. When struck, animals and humans release small bursts of red blood, and there’s one scene showing an abandoned camp with large blood stains on rocks and trees. The game also includes a fleeting mention of sexual content (“Eighteen months hard labor in exchange for thirty years lounging around Elysium watching porn?”). Characters might discuss fictional drugs, overdoses, and drug abuse in the text/dialogue, such as “…not even out of junior high and already a drug addict” or “I ran across a pusher who was selling Razorwing for eight bucks a tab”. The word “sh*t” is used in the dialogue.

There’s no definite timeline for the announcement of Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered on PlayStation, but given the recent rating, it seems quite probable that we might hear about it soon. This potential reveal could serve as a demonstration of the enhanced capabilities of the upcoming PS5 Pro.

Initially launched in 2017, Horizon Zero Dawn has since exceeded sales of 24.3 million copies by April 2023. On Metacritic, it garnered a score of 89 out of 100 for its PlayStation 4 version.
