In the world of Oblivion Remastered, one of the two primary story expansions is known as “Knights of the Nine”. Whether you’re a seasoned explorer of Cyrodiil returning for another adventure or a newcomer to this captivating realm, “Knights of the Nine” offers an engaging experience. This DLC can be initiated before delving into the main storyline, or whenever you choose throughout your journey. In this guide, we’ll walk you through commencing the Knights of the Nine DLC in Oblivion Remastered.
How to Begin the Knights of the Nine DLC in Oblivion Remastered
Complete the Tutorial:
To get started with the Knights of the Nine DLC in Oblivion Remastered, you must first finish the initial tutorial. After completing this, you’ll be granted access to the expansive open world, and that’s everything you need to embark on your journey.
Visit Anvil:
Once you finish the game’s initial tutorial, your next task is to navigate to the town of Anvil, located in the northwest corner of Cyrodiil. As soon as you gain access to the world, you’ll be granted fast-travel capabilities. To get there, just choose a destination such as the “Anvil Main Gate” and make your way to that location.

Upon reaching Anvil, make your way towards the southeastern part of town. The spot you’re interested in is known as the Chapel of Dibella. A disturbing incident has occurred within this chapel, sparking off the series of events in our story. Although you can converse with the guards stationed outside the chapel for some background info, your main objective will be to find ‘The Prophet’.
If you make it to the Chapel of Dibella prior to dusk, you’ll likely overhear The Prophet calling out from his position, which is situated diagonally opposite the chapel. Remember, The Prophet departs his post once night falls, so it would be best to engage with him before that happens.
In conversation with The Prophet, there’s one question that could potentially halt your journey if answered inaccurately. Be sure to respond as follows when he inquires whether you are a noble knight:
1. “Indeed, I consider myself a worthy knight.” (Formal)
2. “Yes, I believe I am a knight of good standing.” (Casual)
3. “I strive to be a noble knight every day.” (Humble)
4. “I’d like to think so, yes.” (Polite)
5. “Absolutely, I aim to uphold the code of chivalry.” (Detailed)
- “No, I have no claim to fame.”

It appears this action advances the storyline. Once The Prophet has confidence that you’re trustworthy for this mission, he will provide you with a map to the Wayshrines, which guide you to essential locations to visit. These initial actions mark the beginning of what becomes known as the “Pilgrimage” quest, which is the primary mission in the Knights of the Nine DLC expansion.
With the map clutched in your grasp and the chapel thoroughly explored, you’ve now formally embarked on your journey as a member of the Knights of the Nine.
