How Does Endfield’s Gacha System Work?

Arknights Endfield’s gacha system is a departure from the usual format. While it shares some similarities with the original Arknights, it largely functions in a new way. There are both positive and negative aspects to how Endfield handles its gacha mechanics, and players should understand how it works before spending significant time or money on the game.

Endfield Gacha Banners and Rates

Endfield has three different character gacha banners (called Headhunting banners):

  • New Horizons Headhunting is for new players; it guarantees a standard 6-star character at 40 pulls
  • Chartered Headhunting is the limited-time banner that changes regularly
  • Basic Headhunting is the standard gacha banner containing standard units of all rarities

Drop Rates

  • 6-Star Character: 0.8%
  • 5-Star Character: 8%
  • 4-Star Character: 91.2%

When using the Chartered Headhunting banner, if you pull a 6-star character, there’s a 50% chance it will be the featured character.

What’s Different in Arknights Endfield’s Gacha?

Endfield Pity System, Explained

Let’s talk about something many players are interested in: how the game’s summoning system works. Like other popular games of this type, Endfield has a “pity” system. This means that when you’re trying to get a specific character on a limited-time banner, you have a 50/50 chance once you’ve made enough attempts. You’re guaranteed to get the featured character after 80 pulls, and any pulls you’ve made before reaching 80 will carry over to the next banner.

The Good

If you don’t get the character you want on the 50/50 chance, you’ll be guaranteed to get one within the next 40 pulls, totaling 120 pulls. This guarantee only happens once per banner. After that, you’re guaranteed another copy of a featured character every 240 pulls.

After doing 60 pulls on the Chartered banner, you’ll receive a Headhunting Dossier. This dossier guarantees a free 10-pull on the next Chartered Headhunting banner.

The main character offered in the current Headhunting banner will also be available in the next two. So, if you don’t get Levatein before her banner ends, you’ll have another chance when either Gilberta or Yvonne are featured.

The Bad

If you don’t pull 120 times and activate the guarantee, your progress won’t carry over to the next banner. Once you lose the 50/50 chance around 80 pulls, you’re taking a big risk with every pull – it’s a complete gamble from there on out.

Endfield Weapon Banners, Explained

How Does Arsenal Exchange Work?

Endfield’s weapon system works differently than other games. You don’t use Oroberyls or Permits to get new weapons; instead, you spend Arsenal Tickets. You earn these tickets by participating in Headhunting events or completing the Protocol Pass.

On the Arsenal Exchange, you’ll find a lot of different weapon banners called Issues. The special weapon Issue that matches the current Headhunting banner is always displayed first, with the others listed below it. You can also directly purchase weapons using Arsenal Tickets, which is a convenient option.

Next, choose any available Issue to get items from, and then try your luck! Here’s how often each weapon will drop:

  • 6-Star Weapon: 4%
  • 5-Star Weapon: 15%
  • 4-Star Weapon: 81%

If you get a perfect 4% roll on an Issue, you have a 25% chance of getting the featured weapon and a 12.5% chance of getting any other 6-star weapon.

Weapon soft pity kicks in at 40 pulls, while hard pity triggers at 80.
