ARC Raiders is a third-person shooter where you venture out to collect valuable items and resources. Once you find what you need, you have to safely return to base – a process called extraction. There are several ways to extract in ARC Raiders, and this guide will walk you through each one, ensuring you don’t lose your hard-earned loot when an ARC Orbiter arrives.
How to Extract in ARC Raiders (Normally)
ARC Raiders raids typically last 30 minutes. During a raid, players can find white arrow symbols on the map indicating extraction points, which have a countdown timer. These points are standard ways to leave the raid – like elevators, trains, or air shafts – and the specific method depends on the map you’re playing on.
When the timer runs out, the current escape location will close, and you’ll have to go to the next one. While the timer is still running, just go to the escape location and call for the elevator or train. This will trigger a loud alarm, which will draw the attention of nearby ARC Machines and other players.
The safest approach is to stay hidden close by and wait for the extraction doors to open. When it’s clear, go inside and start the extraction process at the console. The extraction will begin after about five seconds, and then players will be safely transported to Speranza.
Players who are downed (DBNO) can still escape by calling the extraction elevator. If they’re inside when the extraction starts, they’ll be safely taken to Speranza.
How to Use Raider Hatch to Extract in ARC Raiders
In ARC Raiders, Raider Hatches offer a way to escape missions, but they need a special item called a Raider Hatch Key. These keys are hard to find – you can either discover them while exploring the game world or buy one from the trader, Shani, for 9,000 coins.
Having a Raider Hatch key makes escaping a map simpler and quieter. Look for a Raider Hatch on the map – it will look like the normal extraction icon, but won’t have a countdown timer. When you find it, just use your Raider Hatch Key on the nearby terminal.
Don’t worry, using a Raider Hatch to leave a match in ARC Raiders won’t trigger any alarms. Just slide down when the hatch is open, and you’ll be extracted. Because there’s no timer on these hatches, you can use them whenever you want – right at the beginning of a match or in the final moments.
Just like regular extractions, players can use Raider Hatches to safely escape a raid even when they’re down but not fully eliminated (DBNO).
