In the game “Grow a Garden“, trading is essential, enabling players to exchange their pets and resources. However, this interaction had been limited to a gifting system, which unfortunately didn’t provide a secure environment, allowing for potential fraudulent activities.
With the arrival of the 1.17.0 Trading & Cooking update, a reliable trading mechanism has been introduced at long last. Now, players can safely establish trades and exchange items without any risk involved. Here’s a brief explanation of how trading operates in Grow a Garden:
[Your Turn] How would you describe the trading system in Grow a Garden with the 1.17.0 Trading & Cooking update?
How to Use Trading Tickets in Grow a Garden
In Grow a Garden, trading utilizing Trading Tickets remains a dependable choice over gifting. To initiate a trade, simply navigate to the Gear Shop and purchase a ticket for 100,000 Sheckles. Don’t worry if you’re unsure of its location; it’s situated next to the Cosmetics and Crafting Stand. Alternatively, you can swiftly teleport there using a Recall Wrench.
With a single Trading Ticket, you can easily swap pets and additional items. If your trading partner doesn’t have a ticket yet, don’t worry – you can initiate the trade regardless!

Simply place the ticket in your character’s hand, then press the ‘E’ key when you’re standing in front of the other player’s character. If they agree, a trading interface will appear for both of you to complete the transaction.
Next, go ahead and click the ‘plus’ icon to initiate adding your Pets and Fruits. To input Sheckles, simply tap the orange “Add Sheckles” button. Each item will appear individually in your trading area. Your counterpart will follow suit. The total trade value will be displayed at the top of the trading interface for transparency, ensuring a fair exchange. When you’re both ready, press the “Accept” button, then verify the trade. Once confirmed, you’ll both receive your respective items.
What Can You Trade in Grow a Garden?

Currently, it’s not possible to exchange crop seeds within Grow a Garden; however, this could potentially be added in a future release. At present, trading is limited to the following items.
- Fruits
- Pets
- Sheckles
In each trade, players are allowed to swap as many as 12 items using a single Trading Ticket. These items can consist of either pets or fruits, while Sheckles have their own separate section and do not contribute to the item limit. This is advantageous because it means more trading opportunities! However, if the other player’s inventory for pets or fruits is already full, you won’t be able to propose a trade until they make room by selling something or clearing some space.
