Supermassive Games, the team behind several popular games, is now developing the Little Nightmares series. They’re known for their work in the horror genre, and we’re sharing how long it took us to complete the game so you can get an idea of what to expect.
Little Nightmare 3 is now available! It took a bit longer to release than expected, partly because development shifted from Tarsier Studios to Supermassive Games. But Supermassive Games is a well-known name in horror – they’re the creators of popular games like Until Dawn and The Dark Pictures Anthology.
Little Nightmares 3 is a fantastic game, as our review confirms, so let’s take a look at everything it has to offer.
How Many Hours to Beat Little Nightmares 3?
After finishing Little Nightmares 3, the PlayStation showed we’d played for around 7 or 8 hours.
If you have a PlayStation 5, you’ve probably noticed that when you select a game on the home screen, it displays how long you’ve played and how far you’ve gotten in the main story. After finishing our first time through the game, the home screen showed a total playtime of 7 hours.
So, the playtime stats they’re showing don’t always feel right to me, judging by how other games have tracked things. And honestly, in Little Nightmares 3, you can’t even *see* how long you’ve played in any of your saved games – it just doesn’t show up!
Bandai Namco’s PR did tell us: “We’d expect a playthrough to come in at under 10 hours!”
How Long is a Little Nightmares 3 Full Completionist Run?
Completing Little Nightmares 3 and unlocking all of its collectibles and trophies will likely take between 10 and 15 hours, depending on your playstyle.
Little Nightmares 3 has a lot of hidden and time-consuming trophies and achievements. It’s easy to get stuck trying to unlock everything without a guide. Plus, each of the game’s four chapters has collectibles that are hard to find, meaning you’ll likely need to replay sections to get them all.
If you use a guide, expect to spend around 10-15 hours completing the game. However, if you prefer to explore and earn trophies on your own, it will likely take much longer!
