A new type of game, affectionately called ‘Friendslop,’ is gaining popularity thanks to hits like Lethal Company, REPO, and PEAK. These are typically simple, affordable indie games designed for chaotic multiplayer fun, often involving a lot of silly tasks. While they might be a bit rough around the edges, that doesn’t seem to bother players – they’re genuinely enjoyable! YAPYAP, set to release in 2026, appears to be the first of many ‘Friendslop’ titles, and its unique idea suggests it has the potential to be the most successful yet.
However, a quick dive into YAPYAP’s price first is on the cards.
Do We Know YAPYAP’s Price?
Maison Bap hasn’t announced the price of YAPYAP on social media, and TopMob’s attempts to get an early look at the price have been unsuccessful.
Maison Bap is either deliberately holding back information until their game, YAPYAP, is released, or they just don’t feel it’s necessary to share details right now. This is perfectly normal, and many independent game developers on Steam choose to do the same.

How Much Is YAPYAP Expected To Cost?
A reasonable price tag of between $7.99 and $9.99 is expected for YAPYAP.
Okay, so looking at other games like this one, they usually cost about the same. And after seeing the first trailer and hearing what the developers at YAPYAP have said, I’m pretty sure this game will be priced similarly – basically, it’ll follow the trend set by other games in the genre.
So, I’ve been checking out the prices for some of these indie horror games. Lethal Company costs $9.99 or £8.50 on Steam, PEAK is a bit cheaper at $7.99 or £6.39, and REPO is back up to the $9.99 / £8.50 price point, just like Lethal Company.
If YAPYAP hasn’t involved a huge effort and a lot of resources, it shouldn’t cost more than $9.99.
