Pokemon Legends: Z-A’s Wild Zone 13 is a small but challenging area packed with six different Pokemon species. It also features two powerful Alpha Pokemon that appear at specific times of day. While the Pokemon here are strong, the zone itself is quite compact and filled with particularly strong Bug-type Pokemon.
If you’re hoping to add new Pokémon to your team, it’s helpful to know when and where they appear, and the best strategies for catching them. Here’s a guide to help you do just that.
Wild Zone 13 unlocks after you complete Main Mission 14.
All Wild Zone 13 Pokemon in Pokemon Legends: Z-A & Where to Find Them
In *Pokemon Legends: Z-A*, Wild Zone 13 features six standard Alpha Pokemon and two that are guaranteed to appear. These Pokemon are:

Pinsir Location
- Time: Day/Night
As soon as you enter Wild Zone 13, you’ll find several Pinsir hiding in the shade of the trees. Be aware that they’ll attack you immediately. To Mega Evolve your Pinsir, you’ll need an item called Pinsirite, which becomes available for purchase at the Quasartico Mega Shard Exchange for 240 Mega Shards after you complete Main Mission 15.
Heracross Location
- Time: Day/Night
You can find Heracross shortly after the area with Pinsir, near the western gate of Wild Zone 13. And just like the Pinsirite, you can buy the Heracronite at the Quasartico Mega Shard Exchange.
Scyther Location
- Time: Night
Scyther can be found at night, near the swarm of Pinsir on the left side of Wild Zone 13.
Scyther can become Scizor if you trade it while it’s holding a Metal Coat. In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, you can only do this after completing the main story, as the Metal Coat isn’t available until then.
Vivillon Location
- Time: Day
You can find Vivillon fluttering around berry bushes in the sunny areas along the northern part of Wild Zone 13.
Using a Net Ball greatly improves your chances of catching Pinsir, Heracross, Vivillon, and Scyther. You can buy Net Balls at the Poke Ball Boutique for 1,000 Pokedollars apiece.
Phantump Location
- Time: Night
Phantump can be found near the bushes next to the large building at night.
Use a Dusk Ball at night to increase your chances of capture.
Weepinbell Location
- Time: Day
You can find Weepinbell near groups of Pinsir during the day. It evolves into Victreebel when you use a Leaf Stone. Players receive a Victreebelite for defeating the Rogue Victreebel in Main Mission 13.
Alpha Trevenant Location
- Time: Night
At night, a strong Trevenant, level 47, stays with the group of Phantump. It’s very aggressive and has wide-area attacks that can accidentally hit you if you aren’t cautious.
Alpha Weepinbell Location
- Time: Day
A level 46 Alpha Weepinbell can be found among the group of regular Weepinbell during the day.
Destroy the vines with the yellow glow near the Alpha Weepinbell to claim the X-Scissor TM.
