How to Apply Clipart to Furniture in Heartopia (Painted Furniture Quest)

In Heartopia, completing quests increases your D.G. level and unlocks new things to do. For example, after you finish the Brushstroke Whimsy quest, you’ll be able to paint – you can create artwork on canvas and even personalize your clothes and furniture!

The Painted Furniture quest teaches you how to customize furniture in the game. However, one step – applying clipart – can be tricky for some players. If you’re stuck on this part of the quest, here’s a simple guide to help you apply clipart and complete the Painted Furniture quest easily.

How to Apply Clipart to Furniture in Heartopia (Painted Furniture Quest)

  1. To start the quest, speak with Ka Ching, the same NPC who showed you how to sew clothes earlier. Ka Ching will now guide you into furniture customization by giving you the quest.
  2. Make sure you have a piece of Joinery furniture in your inventory. If you don’t, no problem. You can go to a workbench and craft one using any recipe you’ve unlocked. It can be something simple, like a Joinery Table, Chair, Closet, or Stool.

Currently, you can only personalize Joinery furniture. Other types aren’t supported yet, but we plan to add more options in the future.

  1. Place a drawing board and select the Joinery furniture you want to customize. From there, you can start painting your design on it.
  2. If players don’t have a drawing board yet, they can buy one from Ka Ching. Talk to her, open the General Store, and pick the Drawing Board. It costs 2,000 Gold.
  3. The customization itself is similar to clothes. You can draw simple shapes, pick different colors, or use ready-made designs like stars and trees. Whatever you create here is what will appear on your furniture.
  4. Once you’re done with your design, head over to a workbench and interact with it. From there, choose the Dye option and select the piece of furniture you just painted.
  1. Now click on Start Dyeing, and you will see the design you created.
  2. Click on it, and it will be applied to your furniture right away.
  3. Finally, you will need to talk to Bob to finish the Painted Furniture quest.
