As a big fan of Arknights Endfield, I’m really getting into the factory building! It’s a huge part of how the game works – you’re always trying to get your factory producing more and more materials. That means constantly adding new machines and production lines, which is awesome. But you quickly realize you need a LOT of power to run everything, and that’s where Batteries come in. They’re essential for keeping your factory running smoothly once your power needs start to grow!
It’s easy to expand the power grid for your base, but powering a large Artificial Intelligence Core (AIC) requires a lot more electricity. While Originium Ore might be sufficient for smaller bases in Endfield, you’ll need to craft Batteries for larger ones. Here’s a guide to setting up a production line for Batteries, and a blueprint code for those who want a quick solution.
How to Make a Battery Production Line in Endfield
Batteries are made of different materials, so you’ll need three separate production lines to create them. Here’s what you’ll need:
- Amethyst Parts: Made by refining Amethyst Ore into Amethyst Fiber
- Originium Powder: Made by sending Originium Ore into a Shredding Unit
You’ll need to unlock the ‘Power I’ upgrade in the AIC Index menu to learn how to make Batteries. Unlocking this also gives you access to Thermal Banks, which use Batteries to create a significant amount of power.
Okay, so I’ve been figuring out these batteries, and here’s the deal: LC Valley Batteries run on Amethyst. SC Valley Batteries? They’re made on the exact same machines, but they use Ferrium instead. It’s basically the same process, just a different material powering them.
Setting Up the Production Lines
Begin by setting up basic production lines for Originium Powder and Amethyst Parts. Refer to the image for guidance on connecting your machines to your PAC. Ensure each production line finishes with a Protocol Stash, or connects back to the input of your PAC.
Next, build a basic production line for Packaging Units. Connect a Packaging Unit to two Thermal Banks. If you manufacture enough Batteries, this setup will give your base an additional 440 power units.
Connecting the Production Lines
There are two ways to go about setting up your mini-power plant:
- Produce the necessary materials separately, then create a specific logistics chain for your Battery Packaging Unit.
- Create a self-contained Battery production line.
The first approach offers more flexibility, letting you build separate production lines for Amethyst Parts and Originium Powder to supply all your other buildings. However, if you don’t manage production effectively as you grow your base, you might run into shortages or surpluses of these resources.
The second method, shown in the image, creates its own Amethyst Parts and Originium Powder. This means you only need to ensure a steady flow of Originium and Amethyst to the Packaging Unit to continuously produce Batteries. However, this setup consumes a large amount of the power it generates and requires considerable space. To implement these independent battery production lines, you’ll need to increase the size of your Core AIC area first.

This design is efficient and carefully balances the creation of Amethyst Fibers and Originium Powder, allowing you to produce 6 LC Valley Batteries every minute. This will give you a maximum power capacity of 640, which you can increase to 1080 by simply adding two more Thermal Banks without affecting your battery production rate.
