How to Automate Nobelisk Production in Satisfactory

How to Automate Nobelisk Production in Satisfactory

As a seasoned Satisfactory player with countless hours under my belt, I can confidently guide you through the process of automating Nobelisk production like a pro!

As a gaming enthusiast, I’d say Satisfactory is an unparalleled blend of automation, resource gathering, and base construction, offering a truly gratifying adventure. The game houses a plethora of unique items, gradually accessible through two distinct paths of progression.

The Nobelisk Detonator, a tool players can acquire relatively soon, serves multiple purposes. It’s an efficient weapon against adversaries, capable of swiftly eliminating groups. But its primary function lies in clearing specific kinds of obstacles, such as debris that might hinder the placement of structures or prevent progress through cave entrances.

How to Unlock Nobelisk Detonator in Satisfactory

As a gamer, I stumbled upon the Nobelisk Detonator hidden in the Sulfur MAM research tree. It’s quite accessible early on, with just two prerequisite nodes to pass through. To get my hands on the Nobelisk Detonator blueprint, I need to shell out 50 Black Powder, 100 Steel Pipes, and a hefty 200 Cables.

  • Find Sulfur in the world and feed x10 Sulfur into its research tree in MAM to get the ability to scan for Sulfur.
  • Then, obtain x50 Sulfur and x25 Coal to unlock Black Powder.

If you haven’t unlocked coal through the MAM, you can gain the ability to scan for it by unlocking the Coal Power Milestone, which costs
x150 Reinforced Iron Plate, x50 Rotor, and x500 Cable
. It is also a Tier 3 Milestone.

  • Finally, research the Nobelisk Detonator and unlock it.

To use the Nobelisk Detonator, you first need to produce basic steel pipes. To do that, you’ll have to advance to the Steel Production Milestone in Tier 3. This requires players to finish phase 1 of the project assembly and spend 50 Modular Frames, 150 Rotors, 500 Concrete pieces, and 1000 Wires.

How to Craft Nobelisk Detonator in Satisfactory

To fabricate the Nobelisk Detonator, which functions as a tool, players should construct it at the Equipment Crafting Station. The required materials for building this item are an Object Scanner, 10 Steel Beams, and 50 Cables. Yet, to utilize the Nobelisk Detonator effectively, players must also manufacture its ammunition, known as the Nobelisk.

In this game, you’ll encounter various kinds of Nobelisks, with each one becoming increasingly powerful in terms of explosiveness. The standard Nobelisk, though, comes at a cost of two Black Powder and two Steel Pipes for every piece you acquire. Fortunately, an Assembler can be used to automate the production of ammunition. Since all types of Nobelisks need the basic one first, it’s beneficial to automate its production as quickly as possible so that players can access the enhanced versions swiftly after unlocking them.

Coal and sulfur combine to produce black powder in an assembler, while steel pipes are made from steel ingots using a constructor. Combine these two items in an assembler set up as a Nobelisk to automate ammunition production for the Nobelisk Detonator.

“To establish an automated manufacturing process for Nobelisks from scratch, follow these outlined steps:

  • Find the following resource nodes and place miners on them: x2 Coal, x1 Sulfur, x1 Iron.
  • Use a Foundry to combine the Iron and Coal into Steel Ingots, and use an Assembler to combine Sulfur and Coal into Black Powder.
  • Feed the Steel Ingots into a Constructor to make Steel Pipes, which you need to combine with the Black Powder using an Assembler into a Nobelisk.

In this scenario, there’s no need to improve the setup as you won’t be using a large number of Nobelisks during your gameplay. But if for some reason you wish to boost your Nobelisk production significantly, here’s how you can aim for a rate of around 60 Nobelisks per minute.

  • Feed Coal and Sulfur into 2 Assemblers to get 60 Black Powder/min.
  • The rate of production for Steel Ingot is 45/min with the default recipe. To get 60/min, create two foundries, each supplied with iron ore and coal, and underclock one of them to 15/min. If you don’t have the ability to underclock buildings yet, keep the extra steel ingot in storage.
  • Steel Pipes have a long production time, with Constructors only making 15 of them each minute. Feed the Steel Ingots into 4 different Constructors to make 60 Steel Pipes per minute.
  • Craft 6 Assemblers, each connected to Steel Pipes and Black Powder, all configured to craft Nobelisks.
  • In total, you’ll need to craft x8 Assembler, x2 Foundry, and x4 Constructor for this optimized setup. It will consume 168 MW of power in total, not including the Miners.
Buildings RequiredMaterials UsedEnergy Consumed
x8 Assemblerx64 Reinforced Iron Plate, x32 Rotor, x80 Cable15 MW/Assembler
x2 Foundryx20 Modular Frame, x20 Rotor, x40 Concrete16MW/Foundry
x4 Constructorx8 Reinforced Iron Place, x32 Cable4MW/Constructor

Producing 60 Nobelisks per minute, you’ll accumulate an enormous cache of these explosive devices. You can employ these bombs individually or utilize them to advance in the Sulfur Research tree, thereby accessing improved variants of the explosives. Your abundant supply of Nobelisks will facilitate their manufacture.
