How to Beat All 7 Koopalings in Mario Wonder Switch 2 Edition

The new content in the Switch 2 version of Super Mario Bros. Wonder focuses on cooperative and multiplayer experiences, but single-player gamers will also find plenty to enjoy. Along with training courses featuring the Toad Brigade, the game adds Bellabel Park, which includes eight challenging new boss battles to test your skills.

Shortly after arriving at Bellabel Park, players will face their first boss. Finding the remaining bosses is up to them, but help is available! Talking to the Poplin with the blue flag in Bellabel Park will reveal the location of the next Toad Brigade tent on the map. From there, players can quickly travel to the nearest course using the Courses menu in Super Mario Bros. Wonder.

How to Beat the Koopalings at Bellabel Park

The first battle against the Koopalings involves facing all seven siblings, but surprisingly, it’s one of the simplest fights in the game. The best strategy is to stay under their clown car and repeatedly use the Flower power-up until they’re defeated.

How to Beat Wendy’s Showdown (Pipe-Rock Plateau)

To find Wendy, talk to Captain Toad at the Toad Brigade tent in Pipe-Rock Plateau. Once the short stage begins and the boss fight starts, you can defeat Wendy by jumping on her head or hitting her with flowers as she moves across the screen. Be careful of fish that appear from portals – dodge them! They might even bounce back up from the water, so stay alert. For the final part of the fight, Wendy gets much bigger and starts bouncing around. Quickly stand under one of the two platforms and repeatedly throw flowers at her until she’s defeated.

How to Beat Lemmy’s Showdown (Fluff-Puff Peaks)

You’ll find Lemmy in Fluff-Puff Peaks. During the fight, throw the bombs at the spiky balls under Lemmy until they’re all destroyed. Then, when he lands, jump on his head to hurt him. Keep repeating this process. In the final phase, the tower of spiky balls will be bigger, but you still need to knock bombs into it, avoiding getting hit by the bombs or Lemmy himself. Once all the spiky balls are gone, a final jump on Lemmy’s head will finish the fight.

How to Beat Larry’s Showdown (Shining Falls)

To start the battle with Larry, find Captain Toad at the Toad Brigade tent in Shining Falls and talk to him. During the fight, you need to break the pink glass cube Larry is hiding in. Watch out for spikes on the cube – attack from a safe side! Also, avoid the falling pink blocks and the bombs that appear when Larry switches cubes. When Larry goes to the top of the screen and blue fists fly towards you, jump on top of them to reach him and attack. Just keep repeating this process to win!

How to Beat Roy’s Showdown (Sunbaked Desert)

Okay, so Roy’s Showdown is in the Sunbaked Desert, and honestly, he looks way scarier than he actually is! It’s probably one of the easiest Koopaling fights in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. The key is to just hang out under the platforms to avoid everything he throws at you. When that bird shows up with the pot, grab it quickly and then get right under Roy so the pot’s stuff hits him. Things get a little trickier when the Boos start flying around, so you have to time your jumps carefully between his attacks. Also, keep an eye out when Roy flies his ghost ship back – there are moments where you can slip under the ship when it comes down. Just keep hitting him with the pot and eventually, you’ll win!

How to Beat Iggy’s Showdown (Fungi Mines)

To begin the battle against Iggy, talk to Captain Toad at his tent in the Fungi Mines. During the fight, head to the left side of the arena until you see large piranha plants. Jump onto the plants and use them to bounce towards Iggy, pressing the B button as you land each jump for extra height. While moving right, avoid incoming attacks and watch out for piranha plants facing upwards. Keep repeating this strategy until you’ve hit Iggy enough times, causing him to retreat and rewarding you with another Bellabel Flower.

How to Beat Morton’s Showdown (Deep Magma Bog)

You can find Morton in the Deep Magma Bog by talking to Captain Toad at the Toad Brigade tent. To beat him, you need to pull his strings by jumping and grabbing handles above him, causing him to hurt himself. The key is using boxes that launch into the air when Morton slams the ground. Be careful, though – he’ll break any box he hits! The best approach is to wait until he’s about to attack, then quickly jump onto a box before it flies up. If you’re quick, you’ll get high enough to reach the handle. Keep repeating this, and Morton will eventually run away, letting you get the second-to-last Bellabel Flower.

How to Beat Ludwig’s Showdown (Bellabel Park)

Okay, so after you beat Morton, Captain Toad unlocks this boss fight with Ludwig in Bellabel Park. Honestly, it’s the toughest Koopaling battle in Super Mario Bros. Wonder! It starts pretty manageable – you just need to avoid his lightning and bounce on platforms to get high enough to jump on his head. More platforms show up as you go, and water starts flowing from them, which can actually help you climb if you’re struggling. But here’s the catch: after you hit him once, Ludwig starts making clones of himself! Each time you damage him, even more clones appear. You can stomp on the clones to get rid of them and have fewer things to dodge, but really, your best bet is to try and hit the real Ludwig as fast as possible. When he gets hit, all the clones vanish, which makes things way easier.

Once you’ve hit Ludwig three or four times, he’ll create a bunch of clones and fly upwards. At this point, swim up the waterfall in the center of the arena, carefully avoiding the lightning attacks from the clones. At the top, you’ll need to hit him three more times. He won’t create clones anymore, but his attacks will become much more difficult to dodge. Quickly climb the platforms and watch where the next lightning strike is headed. Usually, there’s enough room to move out of the way, but sometimes you’ll need to jump. The Floating High Jump badge can help with this. No matter what, stay focused on dodging the lightning and attacking Ludwig, and you’ll defeat him quickly.

Rewards for Beating All 7 Koopalings in Super Mario Bros. Wonder

If you defeat all seven Koopalings, you’ll earn the “Victory over Koopalings” flag and the All Flower Power Badge. This badge turns every power-up in Super Mario Bros. Wonder into the Flower form, which is perfect if you enjoy that particular boost! Plus, finding the final Bellabel Flower unlocks stronger versions of all seven bosses in the Toad Brigade training courses, so you can keep challenging the Koopalings if you want!
