In The First Descendant, like other foes, defeating Dead Bride requires identifying and exploiting her vulnerable spots with appropriate elemental attacks. Despite seeming straightforward, accomplishing this may necessitate multiple tries.

Dead Bride Resistances

In The First Descendant, Dead Bride primarily employs Chill Attribute in her assaults, making it essential for you to enhance your resistance to this element. Furthermore, Dead Bride is vulnerable to Fire damage, so having Lepic or Blair as your character could be advantageous during the battle. Another option is utilizing weapons with Fire damage capabilities. Concerning other attributes, Electric attacks will cause regular damage, while Ice and Poison attacks will have minimal impact on Dead Bride.

Dead Bride Weak Points

After determining what to target against Dead Bride in “The First Descendant,” it’s important to know the precise locations for optimal damage. Fortunately, Dead Bride is an enormous boss with several vulnerable areas that can be exploited with powerful attacks.

  • Core Cover (Destructible) – Chest
  • Core (Removable) – Chest
  • Shoulder (Removable) – Arms
  • Blaster (Destructible while in Frenzy) – Arms
  • Sensor (Destructible) – Head
  • Balancer (Destructible) – Knees

As a dedicated fan, I’d recommend focusing on exploiting Dead Bride’s vulnerable spots in “The First Descendant” to inflict significant damage and ultimately secure her defeat. Particularly important is Blaster’s destruction. Doing so will spare you from the irritating Rage mode she unleashes.

When the purple progress bar above her Health Points (HP) is fully charged, she switches to a furious condition known as Rage mode. During this phase, Dead Bride becomes capable of teleporting and unleashing unique assaults. However, it’s important to note that while in Rage state, she acquires an unprecedented resistance to all forms of attacks – with the exception of her Blaster weapon. Therefore, focusing your attacks on her Blaster is recommended.

Dead Bride Attacks, Expanded

  • Red Floor – At various places on the map, the floor will turn red and deal damage to players on contact, especially if they stand on it for a while. To avoid this, you just need to look at your feet from time to time.
  • Ice Shards – Dead Bride will start shooting ice shards at one target, after which she will use an AoE attack around itself. We recommend that you constantly move to dodge these attacks in The First Descendant.
  • Blaster – A regular ranged boss attack that can be easily dodged. However, in Rage mode, energy blasts are replaced with lasers.
  • Missiles – A more dangerous kind of projectile fired by the boss that is still fairly easy to dodge.
  • Kingfishers – From time to time, the boss will spawn Kingfishers on the map. Although they don’t pose as much of a threat as other attacks, if you ignore them, they can kill you pretty quickly. Therefore, players should target and destroy them as soon as they appear. In addition, they drop consumables, such as HP and ammo, which will help you stay in the fight longer.
  • Ice Dome – While in Rage mode, Dead Bride will create a large ice dome, which deals massive damage to all players inside of it. If you see that the boss has started this attack, use all means to get away from her.
