How To Beat Homo Pento In Metaphor: ReFantzio's Trial Of Malnova Quest

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that the Summoner Archetype in Metaphor: ReFantazio is a breath of fresh air! This side quest was a delightful challenge, reminiscent of the epic boss battles from classic JRPGs.

Following their success in rescuing Princess Eupha, vanquishing the Dragon Deity, and subduing the fleeing Human menace, the group will make their way back to the Village. Once they’ve eliminated the danger lurking there, Princess Eupha will decide to join the party. In due course, players will encounter her conversing near the Inn Well. At this juncture, Edeni may propose that Princess Eupha embark on a journey to the Land of Ceremony and undertake the Trial of Malnova.

For anyone puzzled about the steps to release the Summoner Archetype, I’ll explain the procedure and provide tips on overcoming Homo Pento in Metaphor: ReFantazio.

As a gamer, I’ve got all the time in the world to tackle ReFantazio, no rush! I can save this side quest for a rainy day and concentrate on those other quests with tight deadlines first. It’s all up to me when I feel ready to dive back into this intriguing adventure!

How To Unlock Summoner Archetype In Metaphor: ReFantazio

Following a conversation with Euphad and taking up his quest, you have the option to speak with Edeni to alter the Land of Ceremony’s weather. This decision is entirely in your hands, as adjusting the weather offers you additional battle turns when exploiting enemy vulnerabilities. If you opt not to change the weather, the fight will be more difficult, but it will reward you with greater Experience Points (EXP) and Advanced Experience Points (A-EXP).

Following this, set a path towards the Land of Ritual. On your voyage, you’ll have the opportunity to bond with Eupha, boosting your Imagination by 6 points. Inside the Maze, you’ll find numerous Crystals of Trance. If you haven’t altered the climate, you can engage in combat with the foes here to elevate your Character Types.

At the culmination of the Dungeon, you’ll encounter Homo Pento. Overcoming it concludes the quest, rewarding you with some Wisdom. Additionally, this quest opens up Eupha as a companion and makes the Summoner role available to your party members.

Wind
  • Protagonist – Mage
  • Strohl – Commander
  • Junah – Masked Dancer
  • Eupha – Summoner

In this scenario, “Homo Pento” is a formidable Level 50 adversary that summons a “Knight Skeleton” ally during combat. This boss has a vulnerability towards Fire and Light-based assaults, yet it resists Wind abilities.

In Junah’s “Crimson Flame,” you can attack both foes and inflict substantial magical damage, a key aspect in this battle. Unlike Eupha, she doesn’t possess standard Fire-damaging abilities, but her skill “Summon Dragon God” delivers severe Fire damage to enemies while also removing their buffs. You might want to employ inherited skills on your team members to include “Hamaon“, but the Fire skills should be sufficient to manage this boss.

Homo Pento’s “Cursed Incantation” can cast a hex on your teammates. Avoid attacking the boss when it’s under this effect, as attacking will lead to extra damage from the hex being inflicted upon you.

Instead, aim to deploy Multi-Target Fire Abilities during the boss battle, allowing you to simultaneously attack multiple adversaries. This way, you won’t need to squander turns focusing solely on the Summon Knight.

Once the boss has been dealt with, you will get:

  • 3,600 EXP
  • 1,080 A-EXP
  • 2,000 Money
  • 2,000 MAG
  • Talisman of the Night
  • Talisman of the Wargod

In the game “Metaphor: ReFantzio,” The Summoner is a distinct character type who is vulnerable to Ice attacks and shields against Dark ones. Initially, this character has just two basic abilities for dishing out Wind damage and healing teammates. However, additional capabilities can be gained by players through the acquisition of Talismans. These Talismans are then utilized in “Summon Experiments” to generate Summons that The Summoner can employ during combat. Advanced Summoners are significantly stronger, but to access these Elite Summoners, you need to unlock the “Devil Summoner.

The Summoner character type in ‘Metaphor: ReFantazio’ is a handy role with many useful abilities and can dish out immense damage, making battles generally easy. Eupha is the optimal choice for this Summoner character, but to get the Archetype Hero Trophy/Achievement, you need to master it on the Main Character if that’s your goal.
