How to Beat Stonewalker Antiquum at the Gate of Truth in Crimson Desert

The “Secrets of the Ancient Ruins” quest sends you to the Gate of Truth, and eventually to Demeniss, where you’ll face the Stonewalker Antiquum at “Pillar of Light atop the Mountain.” This challenging quest involves fighting dangerous, rock-covered Abyss monsters.

The Stonewalker Antiquum is incredibly durable and difficult to defeat. The only way to destroy it is to exploit a specific vulnerability: removing its glowing eye using Axiom Force. We’ll guide you through the process below.

Okay, so once I snagged the Constellation Helmet from the Scholastone Institute, I was able to start the Tariv Sorcererers’ quests in Demeniss. Basically, I had to check out these constellations – the Stones of Time and Sheltering Rocks – and that unlocked the Gate of Truth for me. It was a pretty cool questline!

How to Beat Stonewalker Antiquum in Crimson Desert

Stonewalker Antiquum Phase One

  • Stonewalker Antiquum will attempt to shoot laser beams at you, so make sure you’re rolling out of the way of these attacks.
  • When an opportunity to attack presents itself, use Axiom Force (L3) aimed at Stonewalker Antiquum’s glowing red eye.
  • Once you’ve attached to Stonewalker Antiquum’s eye, hold L2 and pull back on the Right Stick to yank the eye out of its socket.
  • This will instantly stun Stonewalker Antiquum, and split him into multiple pieces.
  • When Stonewalker Antiquum is stunned, spam R2 and R1+R2 attacks to quickly kill the Stonewalker Antiquum.

Stonewalker Antiquum Phase Two

  • Stonewalker Antiquum has a surprise second phase immediately after you defeat him.
  • Stonewalker Antiquum’s second phase has his head fly up, making him harder to hit; however, this won’t last for long.
  • As soon as Stonewalker Antiquum rises, use Axiom Force to grab his eyeball and pull it from his head.
  • This will have Stonewalker Antiquum’s head fall to the ground and be exposed to your weapons, so just keep attacking while it’s on the ground to kill it.
  • The only threats to worry about in the second phase are the gears around the map that will periodically shoot lasers, so just keep your eye on them by maintaining distance, and use Axiom Force.

After defeating Stonewalker Antiquum, you’ll receive a random Power Core to enhance your Kuku at Kilndren. You’ll also earn an Abyss Artifact and the Earthsplitter, a powerful two-handed weapon only usable by Oongka.
