In the game Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, if you’re seeking fresh options for party members, consider starting with your erstwhile enemies. Forming alliances with creatures can open up more possibilities for your team and create an exciting new dynamic within your group.

In the game “Guardians of Azuma,” standard party members won’t receive stat increases or rewards when their Bond Level is raised. However, they make up for it by providing a quick method to acquire strong team members and offering variety in terms of elemental attacks. Additionally, an exciting feature is that you can form friendships with boss monsters in the game!

When you’re thinking about expanding your team, the Winter Region’s White Wolf would be an excellent choice. Boasting a robust health reserve and a blend of powerful melee strikes and icy water-type attacks from a distance, it’s tough to make a mistake with this frosty canine.

Because you have the opportunity to battle bosses repeatedly, you could potentially make friends with several White Wolves. Now is the time to freeze your enemies with permanent ice.

Taming Requirements

To summon the White Wolf, you need to resurrect Fubuki, the Deity of Winter, by overcoming this boss during a primary mission. Following your success, the skill set of the Sacred Parasol will become accessible.

To accommodate one of your villages, it’s crucial to ensure there’s enough room within a barn. Similar to other boss creatures in Guardians of Azuma, you’ll require four empty spaces to shelter a White Wolf. Although you were given a free Barn in the Autumn Region upon mastering herding monsters, larger entities such as the White Wolf occupy an entire basic Barn on their own.

Building Materials Storage Units
Barn 35 Lumber, 15 Stone 4
Large Barn 100 Lumber, 40 Stone 8

No need to fret over not constructing a fresh one immediately. You can always reorganize barns, especially once you’ve made friends with a creature of an unusual kind – even if this process involves freeing a few of your beloved pets.

Additionally, you’ll require an Ice Crystal for your gift to the White Wolf. Unlike many other crystals, Ice Crystals can be extracted directly from their source!

The original source can be found in the southeastern mining area within the Summer Region’s Limestone Caverns. But for easier mining of Ice Crystals, head to the frozen waterfall in the Winter Region.

1. This notable landmark is situated in the northern part of the expansive open space, beyond the shattered bridge on the plateau. The mining site can be found at the base of the waterfall. If you ascend the waterfall, you’ll come across another mining site at the farthest point of the small frozen lake (and a hidden treasure chest).

2. The landmark you’re seeking is located to the north of the main open area, past the damaged bridge on the plateau. The mining location lies near the base of the waterfall. By scaling the waterfall, you’ll discover another mining site at the northernmost tip of the small icy lake (alongside a concealed treasure chest).

3. In the north of the main open area, beyond the broken bridge on the plateau, you can find this landmark. The mining spot is nestled at the base of the waterfall. Ascend the waterfall and you’ll stumble upon a second mining site at the far northern end of the small frozen lake (with a secret treasure chest).

4. This landmark is located in the north of the broad open area, past the broken bridge on the plateau. The mining location is near the base of the waterfall. Climb up the waterfall to find another mining site at the northernmost tip of the small frozen lake (along with a hidden treasure chest).

Each of these sentences aims to convey the same information in a slightly different way, while still being easy to read and understand.

Employ Matsuri’s Holy Sword to dissolve the icy structure beneath the plateau, uncovering an air vent. Ascend using the Holy Parasol, landing near the encased waterfall.

If you’re short on time and would prefer not to invest it, you could opt for the convenience of spending your money instead. Hisui’s store in the Summer Village offers Ice Crystals at an elevated price tag of 10,000 gold.

Poaching The Pooch

When you’ve got a barn open and an ice crystal on hand, it’s high time for another face-off against the White Wolf. Let’s hope you’ve triggered the Dragon Statue earlier, or else you’ll need to trek your way back up White Wolf Mountain.

Upon re-entering the boss arena, there’s a radiant violet orb suspended centrally. Engage with this orb to initiate another fight. Since you’ve previously defeated the White Wolf, another encounter might not prove overly challenging, correct?

To begin the battle, execute the Dance of Bonds using the Plum Branch close to the White Wolf. This dance triggers the taming phase. If your dance is successful, a tiny smiling emoji will show up beneath the White Wolf’s health meter.

First, follow the directions. Then, defeat the boss. Once victorious, the White Wolf will rise again. You can then try to win its friendship by offering it an Ice Crystal as a gift. After that, you’ll have a new companion!

Even if you offer a friendly gesture or gift, it doesn’t guarantee making friends with a monster. If the monster appears fond of your present at first, continue trying until you manage to befriend it. You may present up to three gifts during each attempt at taming.
