Many secrets and characters in *Hollow Knight: Silksong* are easy to overlook if you play through the game quickly. One example is Eva, a character found in Weavenest Atla. She’s stuck inside a pod and only communicates through a voice. Eva is important because she can upgrade your Hunter Crest, and later, you can even bind her, which is required to unlock the Entwined trophy/achievement.
Where to Find Eva in Silksong (Upgrade Hunter Crest)
Okay, so I finally figured out how to find Eva in *Silksong*! You need to head to the Weavenest Atla area, but getting there isn’t super obvious. You’ll remember a locked Needolin door in Moss Grotto – that’s the starting area, so you probably saw it when you first started playing. You have to unlock *that* door to get to Atla and find her!
So, simply play the Needolin to open up the door, and enter the Weavenest Atla area.
Go inside Weavenest Alta and turn right. Continue down that path until you find a room with two exposed power cells on the ceiling. Activate both power cells to turn the power back on in Weavenest Alta. Then, head back to the center of the area, grabbing the map along the way.
Stand on the central platform to send Hornet down to the lower part of Weavenest Alta. To the right of the platform, you’ll see a path blocked by some wires. Destroy the wires to open the path, leading you to Eva’s room. Once you talk to Eva, you’ll be able to accept their help.
If you accept Eva’s help, Hornet’s Hunter Crest will be upgraded to the Evolved Hunter Crest. When equipped, this upgraded crest will let Hornet build up focus with each attack. Once Hornet reaches maximum focus, her needle attacks will deal significantly more damage.
How to Bind Eva in Silksong (Unlock Entwined Trophy)
After your initial encounter with Eva, she’ll request that Hornet return once she’s grown stronger. To do this, players must fully evolve Hornet by collecting all the Crests in *Silksong* and unlocking their slots using the Memory Locket. Below is a list of the Crests you’ll need to find.

- (Bone Grave)
- (West Greymoor)
- (Hunter’s March)
- (Northwest Greymoor)
- (Underworks)
- (Moss Grotto Act Three)
Once you’ve collected all the Crests and unlocked their slots with Memory Lockets, you can go back to Eva in her chamber at Weavenest Atla during the third part of *Silksong*. She’ll recognize how much Hornet has grown and ask if she can bind with her. If you agree, Hornet will bind with Eva, granting you a new ability.
This skill is incredibly helpful in *Silksong* because it allows Hornet to regain silk while resting at a bench. Unlocking this ability also earns players the Entwined achievement/trophy.
