As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I can confidently say that Marvel Rivals has certainly piqued my interest. While it shares some similarities with other hero shooters, its unique twist and engaging gameplay have kept me coming back for more. However, like any online multiplayer game, there’s always the potential for a less-than-ideal teammate. Thankfully, Marvel Rivals provides players with the tools to manage such situations effectively.
The game titled “Marvel Rivals” is an exciting find for those seeking a fresh hero shooter experience. Although it shares resemblances with Overwatch, it offers unique elements to distinguish itself from other games in the genre. Despite its successful debut, some players might encounter problems that could potentially cause difficulties.
When discussing matters, one of the primary concerns often encountered is dealing with unnecessary mic chatter during gameplay in Marvel Rivals. While you can certainly report another player if their behavior warrants it, you also have the option to mute them during a match or block them entirely so that you don’t have to play with them again in the future. With this in mind, this guide will delve into all aspects of blocking and muting players in Marvel Rivals, as well as provide additional helpful information.
How to Block Players in Marvel Rivals
When engaging in Marvel Rivals, I’ve found myself encountering players who opt out of teamwork. In such situations, my recommended action is to block them, thereby preventing us from being paired together in future matches. Here’s a straightforward guide on how to block players within Marvel Rivals:
- Get to the main menu in Marvel Rivals.
- Access the Friends tab.
- Select Recent Players.
- Locate the player you want to report and select their name.
- Select Avoid as Teammate or Add to Blocklist.
Choosing “Avoid” as a Teammate means you won’t be paired with the chosen player for the next 3 days.
Additionally, you have the option to prevent other Marvel Rivals players from interacting with you on the Career screen located in the upper right-hand corner. To do this, navigate to the History tab, find the match involving the player you want to block, then choose that player and add them to your blocklist.
How to Mute Players in Marvel Rivals
If you find yourself wanting to silence a team member during a game of Marvel Rivals, you’ll have to be patient and wait for the match to start. Once the game commences, follow these steps:
- Access the match setting menu (options/start for console and P for PC).
- Locate the player you wish to mute.
- Press the microphone icon next to the name of the player you wish to mute.
Instead of clicking on their messages directly, you should choose the chat icon this time around to prevent receiving communications from your teammates.
