Hytale is developed by a small, independent team, so it’s not always easy to find and purchase. While many players have already bought the game, others have had trouble getting their hands on it.
Just so you know, Hytale isn’t currently available on PlayStation, Xbox, or Steam. Since it’s only on PC right now, it makes sense if you’re having trouble finding it to buy. We wanted to give you a quick update if you weren’t already aware.
How Can I Buy Hytale?
Currently, the only place to buy Hytale is through the official store on the game’s website.
Follow the instructions to get your Hytale purchase locked in:
- Go to the Hytale official website.
- Click on the Purchase button in the top-right corner.
- Pick one of the various editions, then click Pre-Purchase.
- Make sure you create an account.
- You should now be met with the checkout screen.
- Firstly, check through the Creator Codes list to see if there’s a streamer or content creator you want to support.
- Once you’re done, complete the purchase.
- You now own Hytale and can get it installed to start playing!
There were rumors that Hytale intentionally avoided releasing on Steam to prevent bad reviews, but the development team has confirmed this isn’t true. A version for consoles is also planned, and it will be simpler to buy through the PlayStation and Xbox stores.
Is Hytale Early Access The Full Game?
Hytale’s early access is a chunk of what the finished product will eventually look like.
Early access lets you play a game before it’s fully finished by paying a lower price. This helps the game developers find and fix problems, add new features, and ultimately release a polished, complete game later on.
Here’s the plan for Hytale: it will be in early access for a long time. If you purchase it now, you’ll be playing a game that’s still being developed and improved.
