How to Call In Artillery in Delta Force

As a seasoned gamer with decades of combat under my belt, I can confidently say that there’s nothing quite as satisfying as raining fire from above in games like Delta Force. The ability to call in an artillery barrage is a game-changer, and I’ve seen many a match turned on its head by a well-timed bombardment.

In Delta Force, players can’t use small weapons or vehicles as their combat tools. Instead, when playing in Warfare mode, they have the ability to summon different types of fire support and logistics drops. This means they can mark an area for an artillery barrage, which could slow down or even halt the enemy’s progress.

In Delta Force’s Warfare mode, learning to call in a shower of explosives isn’t complicated, yet some players might be unaware of this useful trick. This skill is frequently required for events and daily missions. Here’s an easy guide on how to do it:

How to Use Artillery Barrage in Delta Force

To summon artillery, players should keep pressing the 5 key on their keyboard by default. This action brings up the support menu, allowing them to demand various strategic tools that can boost their chances of winning a game. Besides Artillery Barrage, other options in this support menu include setting up a smokescreen, requesting a vehicle drop, establishing a respawn beacon for the entire team, and unleashing a destructive cruise missile.

Choose the “Artillery Barrage” option from the support menu, and your Delta Force operator will bring out a tablet showing your current map layout. Select an area for the barrage to target, then wait a few moments. Soon, you’ll see shells raining down on the chosen spot, causing damage or eliminating any enemies in range. Remember that the Artillery Barrage doesn’t function in underground maps such as Shafted and C sector of Ascension; instead, Cruise Missiles are effective there.

To unleash an Artillery Barrage, it’s essential that you gather a sufficient number of points initially. You can accumulate points by contributing to your team’s success or hindering the enemy in various ways. If you aim to rack up significant points with minimal effort, consider adopting the role of Support and simply start providing ammunition, healing, and reviving teammates. On the other hand, if you prefer earning points through kills and aggressive strategies, we advise using the SG552 in Delta Force for Assault and Recon roles, and the PKM for Engineers.

One effective strategy for deploying an Artillery Barrage is to halt enemy reinforcements. While it’s fine to bombard a target when defending one under attack, the true potential of a barrage lies in its ability to maximize efficiency. To achieve this, position the barrage slightly beyond the frontline. This way, your shells will hit both the freshly respawned enemies and those pushing forward, making them more vulnerable for elimination by your team’s snipers and flankers. Your team’s long-range specialists will appreciate the assist.
