How to Call Zelda's Horse in Echoes of Wisdom

As a seasoned adventurer with countless hours under my belt in the mystical realm of Hyrule, I can confidently guide you through the intricate steps required to reclaim Zelda’s horse and uncover Tri’s final friend in Echoes of Wisdom.

In The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, you can initially have a horse, but it isn’t until you finish “Impa’s Gift” partway through the game that you acquire Zelda’s White Horse for ongoing use. Unlike the temporary rental horse, Zelda will usually be able to summon her horse whenever she needs, with only a few rare exceptions. This is because Zelda can utilize a unique Echo to call her horse whenever she wants. This guide will walk you through when and how players can start and complete “Impa’s Gift” in Echoes of Wisdom, enabling you to obtain Zelda’s Horse along the way.

How to Start Impa’s Gift in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

In the game “Echoes of Wisdom“, “Impa’s Gift” is not immediately accessible at the start. Instead, players must finish the main questline first, which concludes with the resolution of “Still Missing” and the sealing of the rift in Hyrule Castle. This quest begins after the completion of the mission chain called “Searching for Everyone“, which includes exploring the Suthorn Ruins, Gerudo Sanctum, and Jabul Ruins dungeons.

Upon stepping into the throne room, you’ll spot Impa stationed on the king’s right-hand side. Above her head, a red marker signals she has a fresh mission for you. First, engage in conversation with the king, then turn your attention to Impa. Interacting with her will kick off the “Impa’s Gift” side quest.

Head to Hyrule Ranch:

Impa will escort you to Hyrule Ranch, located to the west of Hyrule Castle. She tells Zelda that a horse, specifically hers, has been kept in readiness as a token of appreciation for the successful completion of the mission.

Upon reaching the ranch, search for the girl whose hair is adorned with a carrot clip. You’ll find her in the northwest corner of the enclosure. She’ll inform you that Zelda’s Horse isn’t at the ranch right now. During her conversation, a young lad will come near and explain that he was with the horse at the Carrot Patch when suddenly, a fissure appeared, and it took the horse along with it.

Fortunately, it turns out that Zelda and Tri possess the ability to seal rifts, a skill that will come in handy right here. Proceed towards the Carrot Patch, which lies northwest of Hyrule Castle Town.

To obtain Zelda’s horse, you must first navigate through the Stilled Carrot Patch rift.

Tri’s Friend 1:

Starting from the initial meadow, head towards the west and you will come across a more modest meadow. On the western border of this field, there’s a solitary box nestled in an open, neatly demarcated space. Knock over the box to uncover a concealed entrance. Descend the ladder to reach a room beneath. In this chamber, you’ll encounter two Dark Moblins, with one noticeably having Tri’s Companion. Overpower the Dark Moblin to free Tri’s Companion.

Tri’s Friend 2:

Starting from the green expanse towards Friend One, follow the western course over the stone arch bridge, then take the main path northward. You’ll stumble upon a vast open space filled with massive rocks huddled amidst ancient ruins. My buddy, Tri’s Friend 2, can be found hiding under the largest of these stones, nestled at the very northern edge. To uncover him, you must utilize your power, Bind , to move these heavy boulders one by one until you reach the final one. Manipulate them carefully so that you can pull out the last boulder when ready. Once moved, my friend will be there, eagerly awaiting your arrival.

Tri’s Friend 3:

Make your way back to the original spot and proceed northward across the first field instead. At the northwestern corner of this field, you’ll stumble upon a solitary box nestled in a small open area. Either move or eliminate this box to unveil another secret chamber entrance.

  • When you reach the bottom, you’ll need to use Bind to pull the slamming platform over to the right side of the chamber.
  • When you ride the platform on the right side, you’ll notice it stops short of the top. Use an Echo to make up the extra space.
  • Jump to the upper level, then head to the left and press the button, opening the gate that blocks the boxes.
  • Return to the center on the bottom level, and use Bind to return the platform to the left side.
  • Destroy the boxes and recover Tri’s Friend 3.

Tri’s Friend 4:

To locate Tri’s last companion, leave the cave where friend number three is found and proceed north. You’ll come across a wall that can be scaled effortlessly using the Water Block Echo. Once you’ve reached the top, turn left and you’ll spot friend three on a ledge high above. You can access this platform by arranging four Old-Bed echoes from the upper part of your starting point in a stack. Upon reaching the summit, grab the third friend, and Tri will automatically finish the rift.

To finish the Stilled Carrot Patch, Zelda gets rewarded with two powerful crystals, while Tri gains a bit of progress towards advancing to the next level.

Following the conclusion of the “Tranquil Carrot Field”, Zelda and Tri will make their way back to Hyrule. Despite everyone’s safe return, one of the stable workers brings up the fact that Zelda’s horse is yet to appear. Another worker suggests that the scent of a newly picked carrot could lure her back. It just so happens that you are near a “Carrot Field” and this isn’t by chance.

In the game “Echoes of Wisdom”, instead of directly summoning Zelda’s horse, just pull out a Carrot from your Echo list. Most times, Zelda’s horse will dash towards you as soon as you drop the carrot. After she eats it, she’ll be ready to ride. On the map, you can still see where you last left her, but there’s no need to search for her again.
