As you explore the world of *Silent Hill f*, you’ll collect lots of items and offerings. Sometimes you’ll find more than your character can carry, which can be annoying if your inventory is full and you don’t want to leave anything behind. Managing your inventory and keeping a few free spaces for new loot will be important. Luckily, you can increase how much Hinako can carry. Here’s how to do it.
How to Increase Storage Space in Silent Hill f (Inventory Upgrades)
In *Silent Hill f*, players begin with eight spaces to carry items. They can find bags throughout the game that add one extra slot to their inventory.
The game features six hidden inventory upgrades that, when found, will allow players to carry a maximum of 14 items. Players will need to carefully explore each chapter to discover them all.
Weapons and Omamori Charms do not take up inventory space, as they have their own dedicated tabs.
Let’s check out how you can get the first inventory upgrade, the Shoulder Bag, in Silent Hill f.
After finishing the Shrine Path, you’ll return to Ebisugaoka – this marks our second time exploring this area in *Silent Hill f*. You’ll begin in the center of town, near a shrine. Be sure to interact with the shrine to save your progress before searching for an upgrade to your inventory.
When you’re finished here, walk east on the main street until you see a lit alleyway on your left. Turn into that alley and then immediately turn left again to follow the path between the buildings.
Continue along the path until you reach a small clearing with two enemies, called Kashimashi. It’s easier to deal with the enemy on the left first, since the other one is preoccupied trying to break down a door.
Once you’ve defeated the two enemies, walk over to the tree and turn left into the narrow alley. You’ll find your first item upgrade, the “Shoulder Bag,” on a wooden crate at the end. This upgrade will increase your inventory size to nine slots in *Silent Hill f*.
