To catch the Legendary Fish in this game, you need to advance your character to Level 30 in Fishing Skill and buy the Legendary Perk using 80 Essence. This message will appear under the calendar date and any potential birthday notices. Remember, there’s only one Legendary Fish to catch per season, so don’t expect to see all four types at once.
Improving your Fishing proficiency is primarily achieved by regular fishing and diving. While it might be tricky to quantify the experience gained from each catch, making fishing a daily routine will gradually boost your Fishing level. Additionally, acquiring Tier 1 and Tier 2 Perks could expedite this process. Some useful perks to consider include:
- Weedline Watcher (Tier 1): Fishing up Junk will become less likely. Costs 15 Essence.

You can refresh the ocean’s catch by popping in and out of the Tackle Shop or The Beach itself.

Can You Sell Them?
In this game, you’re unable to sell Legendary Fish or keep them in your cabin aquarium. Instead, these unique fish can only be donated to the Museum. Once you’ve contributed all four different types of Legendary Fish, you’ll receive a reward from the Fish Wing set. The rewards you get depend on how many Fish Wing sets you’ve completed before donating the Legendary Fish. Typically, you’ll get a new piece of furniture and the blueprint to craft it, along with a treasure box. The more Fish Wing sets you’ve finished, the better the quality of the treasure box will be.
