The ‘Headwinds’ update is the biggest addition to ARC Raiders so far this year, bringing fresh content for players. This includes the new Trophy Display Project, a way to show off your achievements, as well as a new matchmaking option that lets you play solo against squads. Plus, a bunch of new Quests are now available in the game.
You’ll quickly get a quest called ‘A Prime Specimen‘ from Shani, a Security Trader. She asks you to check out an ARC Deforester near Blue Gate, but like many quests in ARC Raiders, she doesn’t give you precise directions, so it’s easy to wander around and get lost.

How To Complete ‘A Prime Specimen’ Quest In ARC Raiders
To finish the ‘A Prime Specimen’ mission in ARC Raiders, go to an ARC Deforester location on The Blue Gate map.
The Quest has three parts, and you need to finish them all in a single attempt to succeed. Here’s a list of those steps:
- Obtain two ARC Powercells
- Interact with any ARC Deforester
- Loot an ARC Deforester
While it seems straightforward, locating an ARC Deforester can be difficult because its location isn’t shown on the map. Fortunately, TopMob has pinpointed its exact location, which you can see in the image below.
Now that you know where to go, here’s a simple guide to finishing the ‘A Prime Specimen’ quest in ARC Raiders.
- Load into The Blue Gate.
- Make your way to the ARC Deforester, which is marked in the image above.
- On your way, acquire two ARC Powercells by either looting First Wave Husks or shooting down Wasps and Hornets.
- Once you’re at the Deforester, interact with it. It will consume one of the ARC Powercells, and fire will begin to flicker.
- Run through the fire when it dies down, and interact again, using the second ARC Powercell.
- Now, you need to exit the ARC and climb up to the platform above.
- You need to run through the fire again and breach the container: This stops the flames and deactivates the Deforester.
- This will complete the Quest, and you’ll be free to extract.
All Rewards For ‘A Prime Specimen’ Quest In ARC Raiders
After finishing the quest ‘A Prime Specimen,’ return to Speranza. Shani will give you three Door Blockers and a key to a Patrol Car as a reward.
The reward might not look like much initially, but it’s surprisingly good considering how easy the Quest is to complete. The door blockers aren’t particularly special, but the patrol car key is a real highlight.
This key unlocks the military vehicles on The Blue Gate map, and each one contains a Weapon Case you can open. You’ll probably find an Arpeggio or Burietta inside, but there’s a chance you might discover a Bobcat or Volcano – it’s worth checking!
