How to Complete Cut From the Same Cloth in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster

As a seasoned Dead Rising player with countless hours under my belt, I can confidently say that Kent Swanson is one of the most intriguing characters to grace the zombie-filled halls of Willamette Mall. His self-proclaimed seriousness as a photojournalist is nothing short of amusing, and his penchant for finding himself in the thick of things makes him a thrilling subject to capture on film.

On your initial day exploring Willamette Mall, post the incident at the Entrance Plaza, you’ll encounter a photojournalist named Kent Swanson who appears rather self-important. Throughout Paradise Plaza, he can be seen lounging with his camera. One of the game’s early storylines involves this character, and completing “Cut From the Same Cloth” in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is all about it!

Cut From the Same Cloth Walkthrough

In your initial playthrough, you might not find Cut From the Same Cloth particularly tough as it’s mainly intended to familiarize you with the game’s camera mechanics. However, it can still be quite frustrating due to its requirements. Specifically, this mission involves taking two distinct photographs of Kent while he’s in action. These are:

First Photo: Take a photograph of Kent while he photographs Frank. The picture must be worth 500 Prestige Points (PP), so wait until Kent is in position, with his camera centered, and try to score a zombie or two in the background. If they’re approaching Kent, all the better!
Second Photo: The second photograph requires Kent in his signature pose, with his fist held high in a pumping gesture, and it must be worth at least 700 PP to count. Again, try to score a picture with a zombie or two in the scene, either dead or undead, and snap the photo as soon as Kent poses.

These two photos are crucial for wrapping up the storyline, after which you can advance to the next phase tomorrow. As more tasks unfold, it’s evident that Kent isn’t just a typical photographer capturing the zombie outbreak; he’s one of the game’s deranged characters, a psychopath.
