How To Complete Gold Path Trial In Indiana Jones And The Great Circle

As a seasoned gamer and Indiana Jones enthusiast with years of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that the Gold Path Trial in Indiana Jones and The Great Circle is a tricky yet rewarding challenge. It’s one of those trials that requires patience, precision, and a keen eye for detail – qualities I’ve developed over countless hours spent gaming.

Upon reaching the secret passage hidden beneath the Fountain of Confession within “Indiana Jones and The Great Circle”, adventurers will encounter two trials involving fire. Overcoming the danger posed by the blade-swinging chamber, known as the Tribulation Chamber, leads you to the Monastery Courtyard. To advance further, one must conquer both the Silver Trial and Gold Trial that lie ahead.

The Gold Test poses a significant challenge because it offers few clues for navigating it safely. It often requires repeated attempts to understand its workings and eventually finish it, provided you don’t exhaust your health beforehand.

How to Complete the Gold Path Trial in Indiana Jones and The Great Circle

Stepping into the Monastery Courtyard within Indiana Jones and The Great Circle, I ascend the staircase that leads to the rooftop terrace. Here, I spot a lever on the starboard side, so I give it a firm pull to the right. This move initiates the Gold Path Trial, which sets in motion the golden dragon statue on the right-hand side, causing it to lift its shield and create an opening towards the trial.

However, there’s something you need to do before accessing the Gold Path Trial’s room.

Unlock the Gold Path Trial Room

As you make your way to the trial room, you’ll discover that the entrance appears to be secured. To unlock the Gold Path Trial room, simply search the area to your left where you’ll find a concealed opening in the wall. Upon finding it, step inside this hidden space to reveal a small room containing a pressure plate.

Turn your gaze to the right side of the hollow, where you’ll spot a statue resting against the wall. Grab it and set it on the pressure pad to unfasten the doors. Once more, go back through the hole and advance through the freshly opened doorway that leads to the Gold Path Trial.

Before entering the trial room, remember to turn left immediately upon exiting through the opening and proceed into a small room to pick up a hidden treasure.

Align the Furnaces

Upon entering the trial chamber, keep walking straight until you spot a lever at the far end. For now, avoid pulling the lever because it’s incredibly hot and could burn Indy. Instead, navigate towards the left side of the lever to discover a corridor lined with chains.

To move the furnace into its proper position, just tug on the chains and lessen the heat intensity beneath the lever. Instead of saying “reduce the heat intensity,” try saying “adjust the heat level so it’s comfortable for you.” After that, continue to adjust the furnace by pulling the chain until the area below it emits a warm glow. Once you’ve got one set up correctly, go ahead and repeat the process with the other one.

For the best placement, place the initial furnace near the player, and ensure that the second one is situated far from the last but one (keeping a distance from Indy).

Complete the Gold Path Trial

After moving the heaters into their proper places, pull the lever to open the door and leave the chamber. Doing so will signify that you’ve completed the Gold Path Challenge in Indiana Jones and The Great Circle adventure.

Continue moving forward until you find a platform that has a chain suspended in its center. Give the chain a yank to raise some statues bearing bowls of fire. Once done, depart from the room and take note of the magma accumulating in the forge to your right. Whip the forge with your bullwhip to let loose the water onto the mold. Then, pick up the Golden Key that lies there, which is useful for unlocking the Decorated door.

Once you’ve finished the Silver Path Trial, the intricately-carved door will swing open, paving the way for Indy to move deeper into the primary quest.
