As an experienced gamer with countless hours spent traversing various virtual worlds, I must say that the Lost Souls quest in Throne and Liberty is a refreshing change from the usual run-and-gun missions. The simplicity of the quest itself belies the challenge of locating the necessary items and figuring out the sequence of actions to complete it.
In the realm known as Throne and Liberty, the Shattered Temple area hosts the quest titled “The Lost Souls,” which forms part of the Codex challenges. This quest involves players assisting a Purelight Wizard in providing peace to some troubled spirits. Although the procedure seems straightforward, executing it might prove challenging due to its complexity.
This task centers around liberating the spirits at hand. Navigating to the necessary locations might be the most challenging aspect of Lost Souls, but unlike the Treasure of Daybreak quest from Throne and Liberty, this one doesn’t involve any complex maneuvers. Instead, it’s relatively straightforward once you understand the steps.
Throne and Liberty Lost Souls Walkthrough
To begin your journey, make your way to the Light Sanctum Ruins, situated within the Shattered Temple area. By the temple, you’ll find a wizard keeping vigil over some undead lurking in a pit. Approach him and he may request your assistance in bringing peace to the tormented spirits. The encounter involves minimal combat, but remember to enhance your gear in Throne and Liberty if you’re finding it tough to stay alive. Here are the steps for this quest:
- Speak with the Wizard.
- Interact with the Wandering Spirits below.
- Interact with the Soul Magic Orb in the ruined tower next to the waypoint.
- While burning from the Soul Magic Orb, douse yourself in the waterfall near the tower.
- Speak with the Wizard again.
How to Reach the Soul Magic Orb
First, understand the first two steps on your own. Speak with the wizard and touch the ghost orb at the base of the pit. Next, to get inside the damaged tower, you should jump to the marked spot for teleportation and then climb the tree branches up to the topmost branch. Finally, from there, jump to the open window as shown in the image above.
Afterwards, grasp the Soul Magic Orb, and a blue flame will envelop your form. When you ignite, employ your Glide Morph to navigate towards the waterfall nearby. It ought to be slightly to the right of the window adjacent to the Soul Magic Orb. Simply touch the water, and you’ll douse the flames and complete the task at hand.
From here, all that’s left to do is talk to the wizard again. He’ll thank you for your work and give you a handful of money and materials as a reward. This includes some Precious Armor Growthstones and a Precious Polished Crystal. The former is for upgrading purple-tier gear, while the latter is for making more Precious Growthstones and other materials.
