The first part of the quest sends you south of Lakeside Properties to the Locust Production Facility. When you try to use the elevator, you’ll find it’s stuck. To fix it and reach the Sorting Station, use your grapple hook to pull the gear, then use a second grapple point to pull yourself up. Once inside, you’ll need to find a vent on the east wall, open it with your grapple hook, and crawl through.

How to Turn On Locust Gas in Dominion City

Once the enemies are defeated, players need to get the Locust gas engines running. This is done by using a hanging box to jump across the room and pull a lever. Then, players can use their grapple hook to move the box to the other side and pull another lever. Finally, activating the terminal will release the Locust Gas.

How to Destroy the Door in the Sorting Facility

Now that the Locust Gas is working, return to the room with the heavily armored door. You’ll see a Locust Gas tank next to the door – use your grapple hook to pull it out and throw it at the door to break it open. Be careful, as there are many enemies inside. Defeat them all to unlock the door on the south side of the room.

Okay, so I found this room, and just west of here is a Locust Gas station. Turns out, if you throw it at the locked, bio-armored door on the west side, it opens up a chest for you! Free loot, nice!

Inside the Sorting Station Command Center, go to the back and find the two hackable terminals – one on the east side and one on the west. Each time you hack a terminal, enemies will appear, so take them out to let ECHO-4 finish the hacking process. Once both terminals are hacked, the Station Defender will activate.

How to Stop the Station Defender From Being IMMUNE

The Station Defender is a heavily armored enemy that can’t be damaged normally. To break through its defenses, you need to use Locust Gas. You can find Locust canisters in the same room – check the corners! Throwing them at the Defender will strip away its bio-armor. This enemy uses armor as its health, so weapons that deal Corrosive or Cryo damage are particularly effective. Watch out for its powerful stomp attack, laser charge-up, and rotating shield. The bio-armor will eventually regenerate, so you’ll need to reapply the Locust Gas periodically. Once defeated, go to the newly unlocked room to the south and activate the switch. This will release Locust Gas across Kairos, giving you access to previously unreachable areas like the Order Bunkers in Dominion.
