How to Complete Prox’s Request in Crimson Desert

Early in the game Crimson Desert, you’ll encounter a request from Prox. It seems straightforward, but it can be tricky! Prox needs you to deliver some fake items, but you might have already sold them.

As a fan, I’m so glad the developers have thought of everything! Whether you’re just starting this quest, trying to finish it up, or even need to track down those tricky fake items you sold, they’ve made sure we have all the info we need. You’ll find all the details about the quest down below.

How to Complete Prox’s Request in Crimson Desert

  • Head east of the “D” in “Hernand” to find the Goldleaf Trading Post in the Serkis Estate.
  • You’ll find Prox, a goblin, here, who you can speak to in order to hear his request that involves handing over counterfeit goods to an investigator.
  • We highly recommend that you do this request immediately, as you can accidentally sell the items that Prox gave you to deliver.
  • Head southeast of the “D” in “Hernand”, just north of the Howling Hill Camp cliff, to find another Goldleaf Trading Post at the Serkis Estate.
  • Here, you can find a goblin examining some crates.
  • Speak with the Goldleaf Merchant with L1 to “Hand Over” (Square/X) the items you were given by Prox.
  • Doing so will complete the quest and reward you with a Medium Bag filled with Flawless Timber.

If you’re unable to talk to the goblin at the Goldleaf Trading Post, try waiting until he’s available again. It’s also possible you’ve already sold the painting. If you’re having trouble, a solution is provided below.

How to Fix the Prox’s Request Bug (Missing Painting) in Crimson Desert

  • If you cannot hand in the items to the NPC at the Goldleaf Trading Post, then you’ve accidentally sold or dropped the painting that you were supposed to hand over.
  • Thankfully, you can fix this issue quite easily by heading to the location shown above.
  • Just southwest of Fort Perwin in the southern area of Hernand, you can find a wooden shack filled with boxes.
  • Destroy the boxes (the NPCs won’t care), and you have a chance for the painting to drop.
  • If the painting doesn’t drop, fast travel to the Ancient Ruins Abyss Nexus (also shown above, and you’ll need to solve the puzzle, which we have a guide for here) and return to Fort Perwin to repeat the cycle.

The painting sometimes appears in wagons traveling the roads or is carried by Bleed Bandits near Hernand. However, the quickest way to find it is to keep destroying the boxes at the location we’ve marked.
