As someone who has spent countless hours lost in the labyrinthine alleys of Rome, I can confidently say that uncovering the Path of Junia was no easy feat. The journey took me from the towering heights of the Tower of Nicholas V to the dimly lit corners of the Sewers, and even deep into the bowels of the Apostolic Palace itself.
In the adventure game “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle,” The Secret of Giants is one of many Fieldwork Quests. This mission involves keen observation for peculiar inscriptions and your faithful camera. During the main story quest, The Stolen Cat Mummy, you’ll capture four images of inscriptions. After completing this, additional inscriptions will be scattered throughout The Secret of Giants quest. However, finding all inscription locations can be challenging within “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.” Some are discoverable only during other missions, and certain areas around the city must first be unlocked to reveal them.
It’s beneficial to snap photos of every Inscription too, since it earns you the Path of Junia accomplishment and an additional Ancient Artifact for your collection. Here’s a tip on how to locate all Inscriptions as part of the Secret of the Giants mission in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

How to Start Secret of the Giants
Once you have obtained the camera and snapped pictures of the necessary Four Inscriptions throughout The Stolen Cat Mummy adventure, you also have the chance to capture images of six Extraordinary Inscriptions marked on Crescenzo’s map as an extra Fieldwork assignment.
Of course, the order you find all 10 Inscriptions may also depend on what quests you tackle first, as some require specific ones to be completed in order for players to gain access to them. Father Antonio is also interested in seeing all 10 Inscription photographs, which you can find and photograph around Vatican City, as detailed below:
First Inscription
The initial engraving is hidden within the modest backyard of the Via di Belvedere on your map, as shown above. You can locate the inscription in the corner close to the makeshift scaffold structure – a place that may be familiar if you were searching for the missing cat during A Free Spirit Mystery. Capture an image of it using your camera to obtain the first engraving.
Second Inscription
The Second Inscription is easily identifiable since it’s placed near the fountain in the beautiful Belvedere Courtyard. Just make sure to keep your distance from the guards, as they patrol the area, so you can comfortably dash across and take a swift picture of the Inscription on the fountain.
Third Inscription
To access the third engraving, you’ll need to engage in some climbing and parkour maneuvers just above the Belvedere Terrace. Begin by scaling the makeshift stage structure located at the rear of the Belvedere Terrace, using your whip for ascent. This will lead you to the balcony overlooking the Belvedere Terrace.
Fourth Inscription
The fourth Inscription might be a bit elusive, but you can get there with less hassle if you start from where the third Inscription stands. To do so, begin your journey at the Belvedere Courtyard Balcony, then make your way up and through the window into the Apostolic Palace.
From my vantage point here, I’d grab Indy’s iconic whip and swing across to the rooftop that offers a breathtaking view of the Borgia Courtyards. Up there, I plan to snap a picture of the engraving number four, which has three graves neatly outlined, just as the map above indicates.
Fifth Inscription
The fifth Inscription is situated to the left of the Fountain of Confessions puzzle, which can be found atop the stairs heading southwest in the region known as the Vatican Gardens. Take a picture of this Inscription, as it features two distinct figures.
Sixth Inscription
The Inscription number six is hidden within the Blackshirt encampment, located south of the map as shown in the image above. This camp is where you acquire the Blackshirt disguise. Finding it might be challenging because it’s only accessible after advancing through the main storyline during the mission ‘The Stolen Cat Mummy’, when you initially meet Gina for the first time.
Following your conversation with Gina, you may utilize the zip line nearby to traverse to the balcony on the opposite side, squeezing through the gap in the wire mesh fence. Indy’s whip should be employed cautiously to descend to the camp below, where you’ll need to engage in combat against three Blackshirt adversaries to acquire the Blackshirt uniform and key. After successfully defeating them, feel free to take a risk-free snapshot of the sixth Inscription located in the corner by the door, as shown in the image provided.
Seventh Inscription
As a gamer, I stumbled upon the seventh inscription tucked away in the museum district during my playthrough of Gina’s ‘A Nun in Trouble’ side quest. Upon reaching the Museum, I noticed the inscription atop the steps in the lush garden surrounding the building – exactly as depicted on the provided map. To log this discovery, I simply had to take a snapshot and record it in my journal.
Eighth Inscription
The eighth Inscription is located in the upper right corner of the Digging Grounds. It might not be immediately obvious from the map markers, as it appears to be higher up or hidden among the debris. However, you won’t need to excavate to find the tenth Inscription; instead, look for it at the top left corner of the Digging Grounds, as shown in the provided image. Don’t forget to snap a picture when you spot the eighth Inscription.
Ninth Inscription
To reach the Ninth Inscription, you first must obtain the Sewer Key which allows passage through the sewage system beneath Tower of Nicholas V. Acquire this key during the ‘Mad Priest’ Fieldwork quest by conversing with Sister Catherine and Antonio. Once obtained, utilize the key to unlock a barred entrance in the Tower of Nicholas V.
To navigate the sewers, look for white paint markings along the pipes and use your whip as a means to ascend and move forward. As you near the end of the sewer route, locate the ninth Inscription on the wall, as depicted in the image provided, before continuing into the Apostolic Palace.
Tenth Inscription
Finally, the Tenth Inscription is located in what we usually call the “Cellar.” This area is accessible via some steps situated beside the Vatican City Post Office. But, do keep in mind that you will require the Cellar Key to enter this space, and the only way to obtain it is by completing the ‘A Savage Discovery’ Fieldwork quest. This mission involves searching for a lost Stone Tablet.
In the course of ‘A Savage Discovery,’ your journey will eventually lead you to a task that requires locating and battling a worker named Giuseppe. Upon defeating him, inspect his person to secure the Cellar Key. This key can then be utilized to unlock the Cellar, granting access to the tenth Inscription situated in the room’s corner, all while progressing through the ‘Savage Discovery’ mission.
How to Get the Path of Junia Achievement in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
After capturing images of all 10 Inscriptions, head back to Antonio at the Apostolic Library and pin up your photos on the noticeboard nearby to conclude The Secret of the Giants Fieldwork mission. As a bonus, there’s an Ancient Relic waiting for you on the table as a reward.
Not long after, you will receive a notification signifying that you have earned the Path of Junia achievement. This accolade is granted when you have successfully returned all 10 Inscriptions back to Antonio.
