Phasmophobia now regularly features special events throughout the year, and while the developers at Kinetic Games are still working on the complete 1.0 version of the game, these events keep players engaged. They offer new, limited-time goals to achieve on familiar maps, and completing them unlocks unique cosmetic rewards.
The spooky Cursed Hollow event is back in Phasmophobia as part of the latest update (v0.16.1.0)! It’s available throughout most of April, and while it’s similar to other in-game events, there’s a new and exciting reward system. Here’s a guide to completing the 2026 Cursed Hollow event.
How to Complete the 2026 Cursed Hollow Event in Phasmophobia

With the March 31, 2026 update (v0.16.1.0), everyone will automatically get the 2026 Cursed Hollow seasonal event! Just download the update, log in, and you’ll find a redesigned lobby and a new Cursed Hollow brochure on your Event Board.
Heads up, gamers! The Cursed Hollow event is happening from March 31st to April 21st, 2026. I’m already planning to really focus on it so I don’t miss out on any of the cool rewards. Make sure you mark those dates and keep track of your progress!
Like other special events in Phasmophobia, Cursed Hollow requires you to complete regular ghost hunts on specific maps to earn points and rewards. Only a limited selection of maps will be available for the event each day, and this changes daily. You can see which maps are currently active by looking for a nest icon on their picture in the lobby’s map selection screen.
Potential Cursed Hollow maps can include the following:
- 6 Tanglewood Drive (a great opportunity to work on the Entangled Terror Challenge as well)
- 13 Willow Street
- 42 Edgefield Road
- 10 Ridgeview Court
- Nell’s Diner
- Grafton Farmhouse
- Bleasdale Farmhouse
- Camp Woodwind
- Maple Lodge Campsite
- Point Hope
Once you’re on a map, your goal is to earn Event Points. You can do this by completing the optional objectives shown in the van during an investigation, correctly identifying the ghost, and finding the hidden Forest Minions on the map. Completing more of these tasks will give you more Event Points.
From March 31st to April 7th, you’ll get twice the usual XP and Event Points for completing any contracts. This is a great time to quickly earn rewards, especially those in the ‘Personal’ tier, so don’t miss out on this temporary bonus!
How to Find Forest Minions
To earn Event Points in the Cursed Hollow event, you need to find hidden Forest Minions. These minions are usually invisible, but they always appear at one of the many nests filled with eggs scattered around the map. Keep in mind that only a few of these nests will actually contain a minion.
Okay, so if you’re trying to find these guys, the first thing you need to do is listen! Apparently, they make a really specific hissing sound. I’ve learned that if you just walk up to one of their egg nests and really focus on what you’re hearing, that’s how you’ll know you’ve found a minion – you’ll hear that hiss!
To find it, you’ll need a DOTs Projector – any version will work, but the second upgrade is often considered the best. Place the projector near the nest, and it will show the outline of the jackalope-shaped creature.
You’ll also encounter Forest Minions that are either ‘lucky’ or ‘unlucky’. If you find a lucky one, it will simply run away when revealed and slightly slow down the ghost – by 10%, and this effect can stack with multiple lucky minions. An unlucky minion, however, will attack you, which makes the ghost move 10% faster, and this speed boost also stacks.
All 2026 Cursed Hollow Event Rewards in Phasmophobia
Here’s the exciting part of this year’s event! Unique ID Cards and Badges are now common rewards, and Cursed Hollow does include one of those. But the big news is the introduction of the game’s very first player Cosmetics! You can earn a total of three different cosmetic items as part of the event’s rewards.

There’s a slight catch: you can earn rewards during this event, but you won’t be able to use them until the character customization update is released. While there’s no firm date for that update on the 2026 Roadmap, the announcement says it’s coming soon. Hopefully, we’ll be able to show off our new gear by the end of summer!
During the event, you can also get a Pathfinder ID Card and Badge by completing Community Goals. There are two versions available: a regular one and an animated one.
Currently, there aren’t any new Twitch Drops available for the 2026 Cursed Hollow event, even though these rewards usually appear with big game updates.
