Once you’ve examined the puzzle and checked the journal for clues, you’ll notice some writing that doesn’t actually help solve it. First, examine the pedestals; you’ll see that each one has a picture painted on it. You don’t need to remember the pictures, just take a quick look and then pick up any of the items nearby.

Once you pick up an item, you can look at it closely and turn it around. Don’t worry about the bow on each item-just ignore it. As you rotate the items, you’ll notice markings on them. These markings match the ones on the pedestal.

Now all you have to do is place them in the correct order, which is:

  • The Wrapped Fish goes on the back left pedestal.
  • The Paper Fan goes on the front left.
  • The Vase needs to be in the middle.
  • Put the Pink Kimono on the back right.
  • Place the Rat covered in a leaf on the front right.

Once you solve this puzzle, you’ll need to hurry out of the Grand Hall before you lose your mind! You’ll move on to a running section where speed is key to preserving your sanity.
