Once you finish the Divine Messenger Quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you’ll understand the situation clearly. Not long after, Otto Von Bergow will mobilize his forces and march towards Nabakov to subdue the bandits. As expected, Henry, Hans, and Godwin will also be part of this confrontation.

Burying Dead Bodies

Since Godwin is a devout man, he’ll instruct Henry to join him and find the resting place for the three fallen soldiers. Therefore, accompany Godwin and you’ll come across three deceased bodies on the left side of the road. On the right side lies the cemetery, so grab a shovel and dig three graves.

Once you’ve finished digging, gather the bodies individually and inter them while Godwin is praying. Later on, accompany Godwin towards the fosse, and you’ll have the opportunity to see an appalling invention, a handgun. Master its usage and once you’ve completed your training, you’ll receive 20 lead bullets along with your first gun.

Doing The Optional Quests

You have two choices: jump right into the main mission by resting, or take on some side missions first. It’s suggested that you tackle the side missions because they will not only strengthen your forces for the upcoming battle but also provide additional opportunities for interactions.

Initially, begin by transporting the supplies to Hired Hand Bluster. He might seem a bit hostile, so during your initial encounter, Bluster may attempt to engage in a physical altercation with you. You can handle this situation using your abilities, but even if it comes to a fight, it won’t be overly challenging. Subsequently, load the five sacks into the cart, which might seem rather mundane.

A captivating goal also involves assisting Klara. You can locate her close to the cells engaging in a dispute with a couple of guards. In this situation, it’s advisable to opt for the first choice as intimidating them could lead to a confrontation. If you have a higher Charisma score, then the second option might also be suitable.

As a gamer, if you failed to spot Klara around the prison cells, fear not! You can still find her cozying up in her cabin. Therefore, if she’s not hanging out at that spot, make your way over to her cabin instead.

After that, speak with Klara once more and she’ll express her gratitude for your aid. Following this, she’ll request you to attend to three soldiers. Gather all necessary supplies from Clara’s cabin and tend to their wounds. Once you have successfully treated them, the opportunity to court Klara will become available. However, it would be wiser to fulfill other objectives prior to courting her, as doing so prematurely may prevent you from doing so later on.

If you’ve courted Klara during the “Back in the Saddle” questline, you might engage her in a playful conversation like this: “I don’t think we’re walking today, what do you say?

The other objectives you can do before romancing Klara are:

  • Finding horseshoes for Peltzel, who can be found in the stables.
  • Helping Bull by sharing three weapons in the forge.
  • Playing dice with Hans Capon, who can be found in the watchtower.

It’s wiser to chat with Klara before playing dice with Hans, as you might miss the conversation entirely if you do it in reverse order.

Defending The Castle Against Von Bergow’s Army

Henry will stir from his sleep because of the ruckus brought about by others readying for battle, as the Von Bergow army has arrived. It’s time for you and your fellow soldiers to protect the castle. After a prolonged cinematic sequence, your initial mission will be presented: dismantling the enemy’s ladders.

To find a halberd, go around the corner behind you from your starting position.

To accomplish this, grab a halberd, move towards the ladder, then press ‘E’ on your keyboard or ‘A’ or ‘X’ on your controller instead.

Once you’ve taken care of the ladders, your subsequent duty is to aid Hans by preventing the enemies from damaging the main gate. In that case, make your way over there and use the rocks you find to hurl at the enemies from above, thus subduing them.

Afterward, Captain Zizka will instruct you to join him in handling another onslaught of foes. Accompany him and engage them in combat. Be certain to target those enemies who are currently involved in battles with others. Attack them from a strategic position for an easier kill.

If you don’t accomplish any objective, the foe will breach the castle, thereby concluding the quest immediately. Additionally, we encountered a bug where if you miss out on other objectives within the timeframe, the enemy will become stationary and the quest will stall. Therefore, if this happens to you, just restart the quest.

Following that, proceed to the courtyard where another scene will unfold. Despite their determination, Henry and his comrades – Zizka, Hans, and Godwin – are unwilling to yield. However, the enemy holds a secret weapon, a cannon, yet another sinister creation. This cannon is poised to fire a cannonball directly at you, significantly reducing your chances of escape. This will signal the end of this quest.
