In the hypothetical sequel to Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the conflict persists, yet food scarcity has emerged as a critical issue. Hunger grips the land and spirits are flagging. The situation is such that it seems nearly impossible to stop the enemy from claiming victory in the ongoing war.

During the King’s Gambit quest, Henry managed to win over some supporters. Consequently, there remains a glimmer of hope. Following another assault on the fortress, Henry and Samuel are set to depart in search of backup forces.

Bring Food For Hans Capon

In the beginning, you find yourself conversing with Hans Capon during a scene. He requests that you fetch some food for him. To begin with, you could approach Janosh and inquire if he has any supplies. He’ll be clearly marked on your map, so navigate to his location and engage in conversation with him. Regrettably, upon speaking with him, he informs you that there is no food remaining.

I can either approach Hans and let him know we’ve run out of food, or I can scavenge for some myself. Here are my two options:

A) Talk to Hans about the food situation.

B) Go find some food.

  • Bring him wine: You can find some wine in locked chests in the room opposite yours. You can lockpick the chest; its difficulty will be medium. On the floor, there is also one more chest containing more wine, but that won’t be necessary to complete the objective; you just need to give Hans one.
  • Bring him soup: Talk to Musa in the courtyard, and he will tell you that you can make soup with fine lamb leather. After that, you will get the objective of getting the shoes from Lady Frenzl’s chest. It will be marked, so go to the coordinates and find a chest there. This chest can be lockpicked, but its difficulty is hard. After getting the Lambskin shoes, bring them to Musa, and he will make you soup. You can give that to Hans.

If you choose to create a shoe-based soup, know that doing so will prevent you from receiving the Lent trophy. Regardless of whether or not you consume the soup, the action alone will render the trophy invalid.

You’re not required to make an extra effort to provide Hans with food. If you can’t manage to pick the locks on the chests, simply inform him that there’s no food available, and a scene change will occur instead.

Following this, a cutscene ensues, during which Godwin offers a prayer for the departed souls. Subsequently, you’ll be presented with two skill checks that Godwin can perform. Feel free to select either one, as they both boast an easy level of difficulty, and another cutscene will commence.

Defend The Fortress From Enemies

After the scene concludes, you’ll be assigned the mission of safeguarding the northern wall. Your goal is to bring down four ladders, but don’t let haste get the best of you. Take out the enemies first, and stick with your teammates. If you act recklessly, you might find yourself vastly outnumbered, leading to a certain demise. So, exercise patience and stand your ground on the wall.

Once you accomplish your task, a new scene will play out. Following the conclusion of the scene, force open the door and eliminate all the foes within the tower. Now, descend and vanquish any remaining adversaries. Remember not to charge ahead; instead, wait for your teammates to engage first before launching an attack from behind. Ensure that you open the door to the inner courtyard, providing entry for your comrades.

In due course, we’ll witness a cutscene showcasing the enemy’s withdrawal. Afterward, you’ll have a conversation with all your comrades. At this point, Zizka will assign both you and Samuel the mission to find additional support forces.

Following your chat with Ziska, seek out Katherine. You’ll recognize her on the map by the marker labeled ‘L’. Engage her in a conversation, which could potentially lead to starting a romantic relationship with her.

During this adventure, not only can you pursue a relationship with Katherine, but there’s also an opportunity to develop feelings for Hans. Instead of parting ways with her, consider saying your farewells to Hans. Interestingly, there’s even a chance to share a heartfelt kiss with him. However, it’s important to note that if you haven’t earned enough respect from him or missed the heart-themed dialogue options in past missions, you may not be eligible for a romantic encounter with Hans.

After conversing with her, the opportunity to select a dialogue choice represented by a heart symbol will become available. Wait at the ramparts for Katherine. If you have developed romantic feelings for her, a cutscene will play showing Katherine and Henry sharing an intimate moment, marking the end of the quest.
