How to Create a Will in The Sims 4

As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I must say that The Sims 4’s Life and Death expansion pack has been a game-changer for me. One feature that particularly caught my attention is the ability to write a Will for my Sim characters.

The Life & Death expansion pack added engaging and useful gameplay elements to The Sims 4, altering the essence of previous games in certain instances. A notable feature among these enhancements is the inclusion of Will-writing. This empowers Sims to pen farewell messages from beyond the grave, jot down personal preferences, and bequeath Heirlooms.

This write-up will walk you through the steps for creating a Will in The Sims 4, demonstrating where to express your wishes regarding funeral plans, future heirloom distributions, and many other aspects.

How to Start a Will in The Sims 4

Here are the various ways to start a Will in The Sims 4:

  • Select an item or object, create a Heirloom, and pass it on to someone
  • Open the computer, open the Household menu, and select Start Will
  • Visit the Town Hall in Crow’s Crossing (Ravenwood), interact with it, and select Start Will
  • Select Start Will while talking to an Inheritance Lawyer at the Ravenwood Family Day festival on Saturdays or scheduling a meeting by selecting the Hire a Service option in the phone’s Home app

Setting up a consultation with an Estate Attorney, which costs 225 Simoleons, involves resolving various queries regarding Wills and handling Will arrangements for your entire household.

Either of these interactions will create a Will document and add it to the Sim’s household.
