Alone, these crystals don’t do anything. However, if you hit them with elemental ammo, they will explode and damage the monster. You can use this to cause a lot of damage to any Guardian creature. Just remember to use ammo with the elemental that a monster is weak to. In this case, using Thunder, Fire, Ice, or Dragon is a good idea against Guardian Doshaguma.
  2. Stay on Doshaguma’s side at all times.
    • Since its forelegs are Doshaguma’s weak spots, you need to move your hunter around so they always face these parts. A few quick combos to their forelegs will cause a lot of damage and open wounds. Just break them and repeat the process until the monster is down. This fight is certainly easier for ranged users in that regard.

Essentially, the battle isn’t overly complex once you understand how to strategically employ the elemental gems. The trick is to time their detonation just right and then capitalize by striking Doshaguma’s vulnerable areas. However, beware that it often unleashes Area of Effect attacks, and some of its melee sequences are preceded by delays and subsequent explosions. Therefore, it’s crucial to maintain a safe distance before making your attack. Furthermore, its spit can cause the Defense Down status, so remember to carry antidotes for this specific effect.
